I just saved $113.00 USD for shipping a small package of control cables (sold for $89.00 USD) for my RT3 by having them sent to MyUS.com. The cables (everything needed for the old beast) wouldn't weigh fcuk all, but the seller wanted $113.00 to send them via USPS? Fcuking gouging pr1cks.

I'll get fcuked around by those incompetent turds at MyUS.com (who have broken/lost at least half the stuff I've had them send me, and didn't even respond to my last claim, filed a couple of months ago) but it's hard to break a handful of cables, and their shipping is way cheaper, and faster. It's only a pity that the sellers load so much excess on their prices for the cheapest possible shipping. And that pisses me off.......

That's what I think could be called 'automatic gouging' which is when a seller charges too much, then says "free shipping"..

Hopefully I’ll be “working from home” for at least the next few months until we’ve all had our shots, but on Friday my old laptop died, fcuk!

Now if I don’t have a computer, I’ll have to get my arse into work, so bugger that, off to Officeworks I marched, and bought the cheapest possible laptop, plus a cable to hook it up to a second monitor, plus a 3 year extended warranty, plus a $10 donation to the Smith Family, so 600 bucks poorer, I’m at least back in the game.

So much for new tyres for my Rocket III this month, but oh well, at least I can do the absolute minimum from the comfort of my loungeroom for the next few months. If I find out tomorrow that I have to go back to work at the barracks, I’ll be extra pissed off.....

My PC, a desktop cannot be upgraded to Windows 10 and cannot spend the money to buy or build another. I am going to buy either a Raspberry Pi 400 which has the Raspberry Pi 4 4GB chip/board integrated into a keyboard. I am thinking I will skip that route and go with the std Raspberry Pi 4 B w/8GB and build it as I have everything else needed. The 8GB kit with pretty much most everything needed is $119, while you can get the Pi 400 complete kut for $100 with a usb mouse and card preloaded with 64 bit Raspberry Pi OS (version of Linux).
It will do much of what I need. Then the old PC which would be dangerous to use since the OS is way out of date now will get rebuilt for Linux when I get comfortable using Linux again. Used Unix for 17 years before starting in govt contracting and spent the 4 years using Linux and Macs then they forced me to go back to Windows.
Macs are great! Unix was great, Linux requires being under the hood more than Unix did with its desktops we used.
Used to write large manuals with nroff/troff, then FrameMaker, the forced to go the dark ages again and use MS Word when I went to Govt Contracting world. MS sucks and that pisses me off.

I am just contemplating what will happen if I somehow find the person who stole my brown leather jacket,plus all the other dynamics that went along with it.I'm glad I don't own a pistol because I suspect my next-door neighbor's helpers who walked back n' forth,back n' forth right by my door on Wed.,Jan.6 where the jacket was sitting in the box and they were Only helping her for 30 minutes to empty a mountain of white trash bags and then left,that's all...

.I've been holding my anger inside all my life,when I try to express it,nobody wants to hear it.I look at what they did and what it did to me during these Winter months,it feels like the straw that broke the camels back,if you know what I mean.

Bill, sorry you were ripped off. Porch pirates piss me off too.
We have mailbox thieves not too far away. They take everything out of the box when they steal the mail. A federal offense but you have to catch them.
People really ramped up porch pirating during the last year as tons of more people were ordering everything online and this Christmas and holidays since November the majority of the shopping was done online instead of retail stores. Just feeding the greedy thieves with target rich areas.
Crazy thing is Ring is making mailbox cameras now...saw that and said to myself, yeah that’s just going to give you a record of them doing it.
Police told a friend back in NE TN they would not arrest based on video he provided of cameras protecting his storage unit business even if they captured clear images of the people doing the breaking in. He thinks he knows who is breaking in and had not installed the cameras yet but he is going to pay a visit to the parents of these youth he suspects when he gets them on footage breaking in. I was working in a storage unit and the parent sent his kid over to ask if I needed any help. He wanted to find out what I had in the unit. Then when they left they slowly drove past. I had stacked boxes up that I had emptied just outside the unit as I was organizing the unit and sorting through the items which were not labeled and inventoried as they were supposed to be when “professional” in name only packed the boxes as part of a company paid relocation. It was ridiculous. It pissed me off too because they packed heavy stuff on top of fragile stuff breaking it.
The police would only arrest them if they caught them in a unit that had been broken into. So, you would have to catch them and stop them and keep them inside the unit until police arrived, however long that took. They simply did not care and would not be bothered to charge or prosecute anyone. Talk about useless as tastebuds on a butthole...!

Terry, really more addictive than heroin? Heroin is one of the most addictive drugs out there I am told. But now you can become addicted to marijuana because the THC addictive properties are greater because the levels of that substance are much higher than the marijuana available in the 60s and 70s... They have refined and engineered it to be addictive and much more potent. Not to say that lots of people back then acted like it was addictive because they loved getting high so much.

I saw that RevZilla carries Bilt, might want to watch their jacket prices because if Bilt closes out a product RevZilla slashes prices until they blow them out... You might get lucky and find a leather jacket you like in size 44.

Hope you can find your jacket. Watch Craigslist and eBay and Facebook marketplace and any local sale group sites in your area. Some Facebook groups don’t use marketplace but the create a Facebook group for selling things and list things there for members to browse and see items for sale. They advertised local sales by organizations, don’t think they did and adverts for people doing yard sales, it would be covered up. Hitting pawn shops in your town or close by neighboring towns might turn up your jacket. Lots of nasty low lifes stealing.

Thanks David, nah it’s probably not as addictive as heroin, but I am hooked on it, for sure. Interestingly, a medical professional from the government run “Quit” program told us at a lecture that giving up smoking cigarettes was 10 times harder than giving up heroin.

The whole “addiction” thing is an individual issue, I smoked on and off for 35 years, but each time I quit (last time 6 years ago) I’d just finish my pack of cigarettes and not buy another one. No cravings, no withdrawal, just fresh breath, clean fingers and my clothes don’t stink any more. If weed was legal here I’d smoke it, I really enjoyed weed when I was a kid before I joined the Army in 1977, but I wouldn’t buy it from a dealer nowadays, as you’ve said it’s been amped up to the max and who knows what else has been put in it? If it were legal here, (and I’m hoping it will soon) I’d grow my own.

Electrical problems piss me off.

So desperate to ride. Actually test rode a Harley. Well, technically, thats the 5th time i rode a harley. If we count the buell ulysses among the xl, softtail, m8, and that new battery blaster.

Bored at home looking for a basket case to keep myself occupied has also pissed me off. Got XR1200 taste and an AMF budget.

Over here you can buy a really nice modern bike for way less than a CB750 or Z1, and most modern bikes don't break down. My 2000 Yamaha FJR1300 has now done 148,000 trouble free miles, (hasn't even had a new clutch) and it cost me the princely sum of $2000 AUD, or $1500 USD. I paid more for my 1973 Yamaha RT3, which has a desire to break my foot before I get any use out of it, it's had 3 owners since the "20 foot restoration" was done, which pisses me off. Oh well, I've wanted a 360 since I was 12, so still happy.
