Hey westerm Team 5 riders, looks like team 4 is pulling a plan together. Looks like it's time for your rdiers to touch base with the Kansas riders. Any ideas?

We need a time frame to plan handover and schedule and since CZ is still in CA, there is still a lot of time.

From what I have seen it is possible that  Michigan - Team 6 - comes in play before team 5.

Correction, as of now he is in Nevada.

What is the route from Nevada than?

I just hope that GZ is not coming here before mid July, I have a family vacation/trip and will not be back till 7/14.  We are going your way actually - Grand Canyon, Mesa Verde and such.

Team 4 is ASSUMING the handoff would be from the Kansas City area into MO. We could make other plans if you have some ideas. So with this in mind you guys need to pipe in with some ideas so we can do some of our planning.

Initial THOUGHTS: CO to western NE to western KS to MO but we haven't heard from NE riders.

Another POTENTIAL option: CO to western KS to (wherever) say eastern KS to eastern NE to Iowa to wherever. May be the best option then you guys can figure out how to include NE.

Bring em on boys, bring em on  :D

What is the route from Nevada than? Hard to say as we need input from your western guys to help formulate our plan. I think KS can be taken care of just not sure about NE.

Handover in Kansas City and aim towards Indiana, Ohio?  There is nobody in Kentucky.

I have PM'd NShah and Mad. They could bridge KC (or east of KC) to St Louis etc. I also sent a PM to MegaMiles Coke. We do have a couple members around Lexington, KY some of which have ridden in the past at least in 2011, not sure about 2012.

Your routing sounds logical, just gotta connect those dots  ;)

I did a temp update of Team 4 routes and dates. Preliminary but it'll get updated as we know more.

Hi all on Team 5.

I am Wayne, the guy located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  I sure would like to take part, either carrying or riding along... am already registered and on the map, but am worried that GZ will be near me too late for me to participate.  I will be out-of-pocket from 27 July thru the 14th of August... So, I am crossing my fingers about when he'll be within a state or so...

Hopefully plans will start to come together in the next couple of weeks.  I see team 4 is trying to sort things out with their route too.

Time to go live guys and start planning.

GZ will show up in St.Louis in July and than what?  Suggestions?  We have one rider - Tango911  - in Indiana and four in Ohio - Ohio: becken, Marblehead; cosmicvision, Ashtabula; Rio_CB750, Cleveland; mono, Toledo - but they are all up in Northern Ohio.  Ideas?

How about USPS to Rocking M and than GZ travels through Viriginia and North to DC, PA and on?

Boy... I hope we don't have to UPS GZ.

Prokop, were you thinking the guys in northern Ohio would participate in team 5? (I thought they are on the team 6 map).

Maybe they could defect to Team 5 five and come south... maybe someone could go far enough to hook-up with Rocking-M.  Team 6 could then bring back GZ north of Lake Eire (From Toronto to Detroit).

Are Purf_man and Scott S on team 5 (they're on our map), or did they participate with an earlier team?

Looks like Purf_man is in KS for the Summer and Scott S is Charlotte metro or Columbia, SC area. I'm right on the NC/SC state line.

The guys in OH signed here, but they are so far North, they should really be Team 6 - Michigan.

Will team 4 end in St. Louis?  Looks like madscientist is in St. Louis...

This is what I'm thinking... Maybe madscientist can he bring GZ to Tango911 in Indianapolis?... this way Tango911 can push father east to attempt to connect to Rocking M or Scott S.

If Rocking M and/or Scott S head west for the hand-off, it may make the Indianapolis to the VA/NC region doable without needing to rely on UPS.

Simpson and the "DC area" riders could then head west/south to connect to Rocking M and Scott S.

Simpson and the "DC area" riders could then bring GZ up my way (and/or I could come down south for the hand off).

Thoughts?

Hey are we missing some riders on the map?  I thought there was a fellow Philly area rider?
