I got it to work which really susprised me couse I never could get the blurry pic out a image #$%* of days gone by to work.

I found if I cupped my hands around my eyes and block out the outside images I could really bring it in quick

THAT is seriously messed up.. especially considering you need the outer two images to make the center one!  ;D :o (as in you need both eyes to make a picture with depth??) How in the world did you do that??

Yea I know I can never get rid of the 2 outside images with out doing that.
I think part of the problem is I have peripheral vision like a spider

I imagine that would make things a lot easier. No. Just set camera down on a plastic profile and set it on a bucket or other flat surface. then take first pic and move it over on the plastic profile. You can do this without too much vertical movement and if there is a bit of a discrepancy, the software will compensate for it and straighten out the pictures in relation to each other.

;D You're right though! tried it myself and yes! you can limit the picture to just the center one by moving your hands in front of the outer ones. neat trick!

this is the dining table i built from stainless steel and wood.  i bent everything on a pressbrake and punched all the holes.  i purchased the chairs at a garrage sale, raised them and added foot rests. i love the modern look.  itll last generations :)

some of my best artwork comes from boredom,  this started in just black and blue , next thing i knew i was going to the store for more colors  ;D

helmet i found in the trash .. wet sanded with 600 , did a few rough sketches in pencil then used colored Sharpie's ..
had to get some good shots of it , cuz i'm worried that once i clear coat it the marker will bleed all over the place (fingers crossed)

did it all in one shot .. took about 6 or 7 hours

I'll bet if you misted the first coat or two super light it would be fine. Looks real sick man. I am definitely inspired. I dont know if I have the patience to do something like that without fudging it up.

this is the only thing I've done in a while and there are a lot of little mistakes in it. still havent finished it. school's stopping all the fun stuff, even working on my busted bike.

helmet turned out "ok" it did bleed the tiniest bit where i sprayed the 1st coat a little too thick (by the blue stuff coming out of the skull)

and i didn't wet sand it , so it's a little orange peeled, but not bad ... once i got to this point , i was pretty satisfied
i may wet sand and polish it more later .. but , although this helmet does fit me,  it's mostly for decoration

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

a few days later , i was staring at it .. and wanted to try copying it with paint ..

once the skull and flames were started , my brain just went a totally different direction .. and this is the outcome

Hey now, I do and did some of the art stuff. These are a few things from my website www.fb-stuff.com

The table is now in a gallery..with a real piece of art on top. I had a thread for this project that some of the purists thumbed their noses at. The tank is junk. I just made it shiny to put in a case. My wife wanted it off the piano.....I showed it to a gallery that I have built some tables for and the guy went nuts.

So I haven't been very active on the forums lately.  Most of it is me finally finishing up my schoolwork and getting stuff ready to find a real job.... Here is a portfolio of my best work over the last 5 years of Architecture school. [the Honda wasn't done as anything related to school, but I just couldn't leave it out... ]

OK, here's a link to a portfolio I put together for a professional critique.
http://markdavisphotography.smugmug.com/Photography/For-Critique/19273467_rB6L4H

I mostly like shooting classic cars, but now, with the CB750, I find myself shooting classic bike shows as well.
ps- the pro photographer asked what the reason I was seeking a critique was, as he considered my stuff easily salable. :)
I guess I just don't want to ruin something I love doing with the business end of it. (which would end up being 80% or more of
the photography business.)
