St Jude's has a very good record. Also in your area, the Cancer center in Latrobe has a strong reputation for efficiency with donated dollars. It also happens to be among Arnold Palmer's selected charities personally.

Bike really looks great! I hope a woman recovering grabs it and enjoys her new life on it with many happy, safe miles. You're an outstanding guy, Momo  :D

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of it's victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. Sexiest  exhaust design ever.  Decent condition but rust behind 3 and 4.
.

No kick start lever.  The ribbons on the side covers would be removable if one so chose.  The angular bracket that the PO cut off.  I had a spare 77 untitled frame from which the bracket was removed and installed on this bike.

Thanks Cal.  It was built from my feminine side  ??? with the idea of a woman eventually buying it.   Latrobe is new where near me, I'm near Lancaster ...Larry

Also, this was a design inspiration

Hagon shocks that came with the purchase of Red Ryder.  Forgot to mention, TX500 springs put in the front forks, which of course were rebuilt. New wheel bearings front and rear, steering bearings replaced too.  Not all that happy with the tires, they were bought as a matching set but the rear is not exactly the tread pattern I thought it would be.  Seems quite different than the front.

Story on the seat cover:  I mentioned to the guy that painted the tank and side covers that a white seat cover could look good, so he took it on his own to have a friend of his make one-cost me $250 >:(

 another rear view

and yet another  CAUTION WIDE LOAD AHEAD

DSS repop muffler- nice quality at a reasonable price(think it was 165)

Stainless steel spokes front and rear, think I bought them from forum member camelman but memory is always a bit on the foggy side.

Unrepaired damage from the fall.  It will not be repaired as I will NEVER go back to the painter.  I have a spare chrome fender I'll include with the purchase.  May even include more extras.

Another Silverwing control.  Allen heads and stainless steel nuts and bolts used most everywhere

New chain and sprockets of course

New rubbers ??? and Gran Turismo grips.  I have a set of Magura grips that I wanted to use but the length was too long

View from the other side, notice the front tread pattern as compared to rear.  Oh well, it is finished....Larry

When I turned into work this morning I went to downshift to 3rd and couldn't find the shifter

Had to do this to get home

The groove for the snap ring was worn so I came up with this mod.  I've been thinking of doing it on other 400 fours but this is the first time I actually needed to, so a couple minutes with a sharp carbide bit and a file to smooth the exit hole and mod completed.

Hey, the diamond bits could make starting drilling  easier.  Tidy fix, two thin washers could make it slip between them rather than rub againtst the hitch cotter pin.

Cool Larry!  Have they contacted you yet?  Glad she's ready to go and looking fantastic.  They should drum up the support and have it in nearby Philly to raise more money for it... Unless you want it local.

No return email or call as of yet.  Another option just may be an ebay sale with all proceeds going to the charity of my choice.  Not in a hurry but do need to get it done by the end of the year.  Thanks for the compliment

Update;  Finally decided that all proceeds will go to St. Judes Hospital for Children.  Auction will start Sunday on eBay.  They don't charge any fees when 100% of proceeds go to charity so it is the easiest option for me.  I'll post a link under ebay/'craigslist when auction begins and update this thread also.  Hope it raises a couple thousand at least...Larry

Congratulations Larry this is truly an amazing and wonderful thing to do.  I will follow the auction closely and would like to donate to the cause in your name if at all possible.  Feel free to PM me with any ideas on how to do so.

I'm also having issues viewing the auction pics, and seems description was picked up from another listing.
