Headlight options for a 74 CB750K4?
« on: August 22, 2006, 05:05:16 PM »
As you guys have seen my K4 doesnt have the stock headlights or turn signals. Im wondering what options i have when it comes to swapping different Headlight assemblies. For example would i be able to use a headlight and turn signals from perhaps an F model?

Any suggestions you guys have are welcome.

A 7'' headlight is a 7'' headlight.
I put a 7'' "diamond cut" housing in mine with a h4 bulb..

Puts off twice as much light as the stock sealed crap - and looks kickass as well.
Any Harley / V-Twin shop can order you up one...

Do the harley housings allow the use of generic replacement lights? I was thinking of going with something like a Silverstar for now since it is avalable as a 7" light

Any 7" car lamp --- now old styyle--- will fit especially the H4 types for an easy upgrade. If you can get hold of an SEV Marchall (dont know if they are still made or not) it has two seperate bulds for head and dip and with a small amount of modification you can fit 100w bulbs! ALSO if you wire the dip to the front park light wire (brown and white) that you  US people dont use you will get BOTH bulbs on on main! NOT recommended without relay switching and, of course, the generator struggles somewhat but you should see peoples eyeballs melt if they upset you!

Just look thru the drag specialties catalogue andpick the one you want.
Their are many different styles, some with blue dots, tri-bars-etc..
The one I have is a "diamond" cut model from ADJURE.
Came with a H4 bulb, and actually fit into the stock bucket quite easily.

Ah ok. What im mainly trying to sort out is a replacement for my stock headlight bucket since it is not there. neither are my front signal lights. So anyone have suggestions as to what i could use for replacements for the bucket or do i have to go to my local honda dealer for a headlight bucket and trim?

Also available in the drag catalogue are headlight housings that will work on your CB.
Just get anything that has a "side mount" on it , and you are good to go..

They sell chrome headlight housings that will work, as well as mounts if you deciede to ditch
the stock mounts as I did...
