My guess is that there is about a 6:1 watcher to bidder ratio. There are 25 unique bidders at the moment, so that should be around 150 watchers or so (mostly from this forum  ;) )

Time to get the popcorn out and enjoy the rest of the show.

Look at the bottom of the listing, there are over 30000 views.  Larry

Something for mythbusters:

"......One thing, this bike sure runs extremely fast from a stop sign!....I'm of the notion that it's (partly) due to the 26mm carbs.....That smaller venturi size of course raises the intake velocity (maybe it's why Honda chose 28s for production)...this bike was too fast!..."

yea,  I've looked at it once or twice a day since it was listed. Sent the link to a friend who has a 3xxx range sandcast.  He now wants to sell so I tried to broker a deal for 20k but he thinks there are more spacebucks to be made on it.  The 20k is a sight unseen solid offer from another friend....Larry

Is that 3xxx bike restored, or needing work?  $20K is too low for a restored bike IMO.

thanks Greggo,  it is in exceptional condition, it has been maintained by the second owner since the early 70s.  All work done by Honda shops, me or other qualified mechanics.    over 60k miles but looking at the bike one would think it is only a couple years old.  All parts used were always NOS- seat cover, tank, exhaust, etc.  Owner still rides on rare occasion,  it was chosen by Martin Motosports as the feature cb750 for their last vintage bike show...Larry

Because he deals in very rare motorcycles that demand high prices? I don't get it. Who is the victim?

An hour 40 left. 8 players at $130,000 and up with the current price at $135,500. This should be interesting to watch and see how they fall. I say a couple more come out of the woodwork. Sure wish we could see all the frenzy at 1 minute but some bids will be outbid before they ever show up.

Honda has to know about this auction and I don't think they'll be outbid. They will want to get this bike either to be able to say they have it, and display it,or to say someone else doesn't have it,and put it in the corner of some basement. Chump change for them regardless of the winning bid. Foolish if they don't buy it. Fun starts in an hour.

You'd think so but for some reason I don't think they will get it. We'll see....

It will be more interesting to see when any snipers come in, last 7 seconds could be very interesting. If I truly wanted this thing why push the price up, sit and wait with a big snipe and pull the rug out from under everybody. 40 mins to go

It will be interesting to see if it goes above the $144,820 asking price for my '75 750F.  Bidding is stalled at the moment at $135,500, but a last minute bidding frenzy could drive it past that.
