Anyone see the Denmark/Croatia game?     Seemed like Denmark had it then Croatia took it in the end on penalty kicks!

About as boring as watching the last 5 minutes of a remotely close bassetball game.  ::)

Many of these South American "superstars" are. Messi has always been a prick. And the biggest cry-baby is Ronaldo, although he is not from SouthAm

Neymar is incredibly talented.  I just get tired of his flopping.  It's always the look of sheer anguish after someone barely brushes him.  Guys like Messi, by comparison, get covered 2-1 or 3-1, and roughed up, but they don't cry if they go down.  Argentina never gelled together as a team in this cup.  I think Spain and Germany each deserved to win but didn't capitalize on opportunity.

Not at all. I think muppets who berate others with zero fcuing knowledge about them deserve a rebuke.

It seems like you perceive yourself to know a lot of things about almost everything. I played soccer semi-professionally until I was 20.
How about you? Played it a lot on TV?

This was very well said:

It was well said and applies still to you. Your assertion that “semi pro” soccer until 20 makes you a savant is absurd. It’s akin to a Million Mile airline passenger believing they know how to operate the plane simply because they spent so much time on it.

I’ll not bother comparing futbol CVs with you as it will amount to nothing. Correcting you never does.

So, you are a "savant"...and I guess your analogy of the "Million Miler" is a tad far fetched, don't you think? At least I played soccer...

I love it, love it, love it when Americans argue about soccer. ! Y'all should be arguing about how stupidly fake the NFL is nowadays... some dude running 50 yards to score a touchdown with at least 3 or 4 players right about to tackle him except they all trip and fall at the last second ;)… give me a break .. lol !

I am German. Was born over there and lived there for the first 36 years of my life! Grew up with soccer being the only team sport there was for us kids to play. 8) 8)

Seems like all the "big teams" who were considered favorites, including those with all the "primadonnas" are out.
Allowing for the "home team" advantage, my bet for a final is France vs Russia, with France winning the trophy....but this competition has been very surprising from all points of view, to say the least.
