We got in after 4 Friday morning so I was not on a schedule for getting up for the 8:00 am races, even by Saturday.  I spent most of the time at the swap meet, didn't even do the museum this year. Caught some races on Saturday, scored a couple tanks and found some free pipes, winker covers, cables, and for some reason I got a couple unknown triple clamps.

Those Georgia guys in camp C that Chef T was hanging with  were like  Bedouin Nomads,  a big group of tents and before Sunday at 10:00 am there was not a trace of them.

I guess the high point was hanging out at camp with the fast Okies- Danny Eslik and Cory West. Danny let me use his slow cart to haul junk back from the swap meet.

So what was the general consensus this year. Better, worse, crowded? was the swap meet good? I missed this year and the whole time I was kicking myself. I suspect I will be attending next year.

Roach it was my first trip out but it was a blast! Great weather and great meeting some forum members. Don't have previous years to compare it too but I sure hope to go again!

Just different this year. last year I saw one 350f in the whole place. This year there were three or four in the swap meet alone, titled  runners for reasonable prices.  Saw a 750 k for 800, would have bought it if the money situation was different.

Prices seemed higher for whole bikes and parts, but there were a few vendors who just wanted junk gone and didn't want to get rich off it.

I go to see vintage motorcycles and buy old honda parts. Last year it seemed like a huge sea of pirates on Harley's. I can see Harley's anywhere and was afraid it was going to trend that way with tents of leather vendors and patch sewers. Glad to hear there were lots of old Hondas and the racing is always fun to watch. Guess I need to mark my calendar next year.

Our group of about 15 from Nashville think it was the best Barber ever !... lots of folks with tickets never showed-up as the 'sold out ' campground C where we were was only 2/3 full, same for all around the track. No delays getting around to the different attractions as the perimeter road was never full either. It actually only rained once for about an hour on the Fri. night otherwise overcast and great temps ! As usual our Lot C Slow Races were a huge hit with a big turnout showing up.... racing was great, lots of goodies at the swap meet too. I found a very good seat for my K0 750 ( no tears, original cover) for $110  :) Oh, and any Harleys there were outnumbered 200 to 1 by awesome vintage Honda's, Suzuki's, Yamaha's and Kwackers all over the place, ha !

Plan early, we seem to have a lot more room with the sprinter than the econoline, so you might just let us know what mile marker you'll be at on I-40 if you don't make the drive yerself.

I usually make the trip with my Dad and wife. I am going to discuss with her and we will most likely go ahead and get our calendars marked. Did you guys go for group rides in the evening? I would be up for that for sure. I don't really know the area other than the road from the hotel to the track. surely there are some decent roads to ride around there.

I hardly rode outside at all, up to the little store and into Leeds once or twice in the times I've gone. There was a dinner ride from VJMC area, but I was always doing something else.

I think I took a pic of this same bike from the next level up looking down. That is "THE" sidecar for a BMW in my opinion.

I think I took a pic of this same bike from the next level up looking down. That is "THE BOMB" sidecar for a BMW in my opinion.
