I got all my cables and grips put them on and put the carbs on witch I cleaned last fall before I broke down the bike. it ran good and I was happy ,yesterday I put gas to the carbs and all 4 carb bowls leaked I new the gaskets needed changed before but didn't leak so I thought I was in luck well now not so much I going to order a rebuild kit and go over them again should of done this the first time my cheapness just caught up to me

with the weekend being so hot  I worked on my tank sanded it down and got some body filler this is my first time at doing any kind of body work. I still need some sanding and have a weld that I should grind down some more I feel pretty good about how it's coming out

I've read this whole thread with enthusiasm as I'm in the process of fixing up a 1980 CB650C that was imported to the UK from the US. Mine is the version with spoked wheels and 4 into 2 exhaust system. My main problem at the moment is original spare parts for this bike here in the UK, I have had to fit reverse comstar wheels as the chrome was totally shot on my spoke wheels. I'll rebuild the spoked wheels at some point in the future when the Bank balance permits. Keep up the good work Pete.

very nice. I'm also in FL, SWFL, and yes suddenly it's finally getting cold. I was wondering when it would. I won't be painting my bike yet as that would be last on my current list but nice that there aren't too many parts

Today I got  the color on the tank and  covers . I made the mistake in not ordering enough clear had I got only one coat on them and ordered more . not sure  what to do next I think I'll have to sand and clear
