Can't wait to hear/see the completed bike!

How's the humidity down there Stev-o? We've had it pretty bad up here for a couple weeks. Not much riding for me lately.

Excellent to hear the motor is back in Steve! Make sure that regulator/rectifier is up to par.

Congrats Steve!  We had well over 27 days of temps above 90 so far this year and that was last week. Average for a year is 17 days and we aren't in August yet. Late July is usually mid to high 80s with some rain and moderate humidity except when raining.
Finally dropped below 90 today and humidity has been 50-70 percent most of that time towards the end going higher.  Finally started getting some much needed rain yesterday evening with just a few late showers that didn't drop much precip on Wednesday.  Tstorms but luckily no high winds with them...
I prefer the high heat and low humidity of AZ but the monsoon season in AZ isn't my cup of tea...don't like humidity but back in NE TN that's what you have.  Texas and points east of you are too humid for my liking.  Mississippi and Louisiana are definitely places I couldn't live.  Heck, Atlanta can be nasty in the summer.
At least you aren't in the area around Austin which has been far wetter than normal with flooding.
At least you guys are dealing with Zika widespread yet, unlike Florida.

Ya, what happened to our temps in the 80s that were advertised early this week? It has been hot this week, even up here in Tucson.

Hey Guys....quick update:

Got the frame kit installed, Frank makes a nice product...

I plan to run a tach, but no speedo.  The tach it came with was trash, so unsure on which tach and how to mount yet, but it will be vintage. In the mean time, I installed a tach plug...

Got the front brake line installed, brake is working well.  Back when I needed to order the line, Slingshot was on hiatus so I ordered from Apex.
It's ss but I opted for a black cover, looks to be very high quality and communication was great [and shipping quicker that SS].
Highly recommended...

So next thing to do is run hoses for the engine breather and the oil tank vent.
The bike came with this cool catch can, had the painter gloss it with the other parts. It was mounted where the tool kit came originally, which I wont have since the seat is not hinged.

Need suggestions, should I have the oil tank vent go to the catch can?
If yes, then just have the engine breather vent to atmosphere??

Thanks

As long as you have the catch can, why not vent the engine there? That will keep the oily condensate out of harm's way. Does the catch can have a drain?

Yes, can vent the engine and the can does have a drain.

And then the oil tank to atmosphere?

Why not vent both there Steve? Seems like it will have hot oil and vapors containing condensate that you ought to capture. Can you use a T to do this?

Steve, I don't know how long ago you ordered the brake lines, but Slingshot is open again. He posted to a thread about his business a month or so ago, he had problems with his website and ended  up creating a new one with a slightly different address: http://slingshotcycles.com/
