A bank wire transfer is completely safe and probably safer than paying online. The recipient doesn't get your info, only your bank gets his account info to send money to. There's no authorization for reversal.

Correct... Just some outgoing wire fees. Typically incoming wire fees for the recipient as well. Not very economical for a small transaction like this.

Not really concerned about the safety aspect, just a hassle. Dont I need to go to my bank to do it?

I responded to Raask's email asking about Paypla or credit card payments. What type of company doesnt accept credit cards?! I'll pay the 3% fee...

So I have some thoughts around that breadbox.  People have said that the little rubber velocity stacks that they use are not great.   The anti-pod thread has the source for the stacks he used.
It might be a cool idea to use those stacks and fit them to that box.

I'll look into that, Joe, thanks.

BTW - the bike came with a bread box on it, but was in fair condition, at best.
Traded that one for a set of H2 carbs!

Update on the Raask rearsets: If you recall, I wanted to order new rubber for them but he said I had to send cash or wire by bank...WTF?

I emailed him back and asked if I could pay by Visa or Paypal, a few days later he responded that he would accept Paypal if I paid the fee. No problem!
So I sent $30 to him and I have some "Swedish rubbers" on the way!

The rearsets are old and had some corrosion, thought vapor blasting may be the way to go on these?

So, I packed em up and sent em to my amigo Nils in AZ.  I didnt even know they arrived and he sent me an email that they were done and being shipped back!  Talk about good service and they look absolutely beautiful!
If you not getting your parts "vapored", you are missing out.

Nils even lubed em for me, what a guy!

Pulled the oil pan, this motor is clean clean clean!Well, just a little dirt.

Brought my hubs, rims, ss spokes, tires and tubes to my buddy's shop, he has a truing stand and tire machine.
Nice to have the right tools!

And back at my place, got the motor back in the frame. There is no easier way than the "lay the thing on it side" method.  I did it solo in about 10 min.
Helps to have a frame kit!

Since I've failed at getting a Cal Fab swing arm, I'm not about to wait and so I put the existing one on [good thing I had it powdered].
Bushings havent arrived from Germany yet, but I dont want to wait, can do that later.
Rear wheel on too, new DID rim, ss spokes and a Dunlop on a polished hub I had on the shelf.

[/url]

Painted the rotor in my "spray booth". Looks like yard art!

Got the front end on, tapered bearings [it actually had them but I installed new] powdered lower triple and a polished upper.

.

Bought these forks recently, they are real clean, just polished em and had a Tarozzi fork brace on the shelf!  No fender on this racer.

[the H1 is on the lift to repair a minor leak from the oil tank]

Put the front wheel on and we have a roller!!

It's "New Ford Gray", I wanted a charcoal color but this was as close as I could find in VHT.  I'm not crazy about it but we'll see, I can always easily repaint. I didnt want stock.

That is a nice piece of work already!  How was the wiring?  Did you find anything cool when you looked into the engine (domed pistons or a big lobed cam)?

Are you going with those handlebars? I have F model and if they fit stock Ducati tapered bars. Not sure they would fit on the mounts.

I like the swing arm myself, regardless of weight.

Looks fantastic, great work Amigo.  8)

Thanks John.   The bike came with cafe bars and I had these on the shelf, so on they went.
I may go clip-ons, it depends on how the bars fit with the fairing on.
I really dont like cafe bars, hard on the wrists.

Scion has a paint called Cement. Love the color, might look good with motor.

Me thinks the Park Racer is going to be pretty cool when finished.

That's the color I'm thinking for my bike - I really like the grey engine on your new build too Steve.  I think I'm partial to the grey colors now for some reason.  I've had two red race cars and my Mini is red!  I have to go with something else for the moto.

Thanks Randy.  Wiring will be a challenge, the stock harness is quite messy, but will simplify it.  This bike will have no bells or whistles, just a horn!

I think the motor is stock, plan to do a leak down and compression check later this week.  If it is a disappointment, I have a spare motor partially disassembled ready to be rebuilt.
