Looking good.  Did you polish the caliper?

I did not, had it on the shelf in a box marked "550 polished caliper".
I believe I bought it on ebay?

Working on the rear hub... The bearing retainer doesn't want to come out, need to disassemble the hub to make polishing easier. I don't have and haven't made a proper tool for it...

Bike is looking good and coming together quickly...throwing money at something is a great way to get things done or spend a lot of money...

It is not a 550 caliper, was just in a box marked 550.

The 550 caliper will not work on a 750, diff size rotor.

Hey guys...havent gotten much done on the Park Racer, been busy at work.

Built this conference room at work, did it in 8 days including framing, insulation, sheetrock, tape/float/paint, electric, HVAC, glass and doors.
It was a "rush rush" job so we could get the tenant in and start paying rent.



Then the wifey had been buggin me to get the boat ready for the season, hadn't seen it in months. It was really filthy and the spiders on the dock like to poop on it!  Spent nearly a full day cleaning it. Good thing is it started right up so good there but the bad news is the stereo is not working. Ordered a new Kenwood last night.

However, I did get a few things done.

I picked up some parts from the painter, went single stage gloss black on these..

...and $40 worth of stainless hardware from my local specialty bolt store...




 


Received another package from Europe with the lovely flower stamps...


 


Back brake is hooked up and working...




New chain and sprockets, went with black powder on the rear sprocket for something different...

Got the rear sets back on, thanks again to Nils for "vaporizing" them for me.








Got the carb rack mounted up with new insulators and clamps, that is the only way to do it!

Also pulled the Henry Abe "Breadbox" off the shelf, installed that with new rubber as well. I'll give this a shot, If I get frustrated trying to tune it, I have a nice airbox I can slap on.




Mounted the MotoGP exhaust up, simple as can be. Dont know why anyone said it was difficult??




And here is where we stand today. Next up is wiring and then try to fire the beast!
The seat and sidecovers are out for paint, but he's busy, so it may take a few weeks. I'll bring him the fairing and tank in the next week or so.

Stev-o make sure to wipe down the exhaust really well with acetone before firing it up. Oil from your hands will stain permanently once the stainless heats up (well, not permanently, but make you work hard to clean it off).

We dont go for the "manicured" look here, the garden is actually looking really good this year! Wifey is in charge of the plants and I just mow the lawn.

I've read your advice on this before, you'll be proud to know I thought about it and actually washed my hands before handling the exhaust!

^^^^ I've read this comment from Cal so many times that if my skin comes within 5 inches of my exhaust, I go straight for the microfiber and acetone.
