To start things off, I'd like to nominate Dino's 1973 CB750K3 Hack-A-Week Project Bike.  His videos have provided members with an invaluable resource.

Pursuant to BOTM Rule 8, "If the motorcycle is a rebuild or restoration, it must be at the completed stage and RUNNING."

Yours is definitely running and rideable/complete (as complete as these projects can be, because they are never truly finished).  NOTE: Dino's is running and complete for now, although he might/might not repaint his body work in the future.

Thank you for the nomination. It is maybe a little premature but I will still accept. I have been working on this bike since April 2010. How is that even possible?

I bought the bike for $400 and did not know how to drive it at all. I ended up using it as my Daily driver (no car at all) for about 2 years until a shifter-fork bent and this rebuild process began.

I have learned a lot during this process and plan to restore an S90 next. My CB is currently at Century Motorcycle getting pro tune-up and inspection as I feel a second set of eyes could not hurt at all due to my general inexperience with rebuilding bikes (this being the only bike I have ever rebuilt. Twice)

Here are some more pictures of the bike. I am currently sorting out the speedo/tach - they are from a CB450 Black Bomber and do not really do anything functional on the bike but look good...short term solution will be an iPhone mount...

The LED license plate light burned out really fast and I am discovering this seems to be an issue with many of these LED light

I am still debating how to finish off the tank graphics. The color is Porche pastel blue and I might contine the Porche inspired theme with a Porche style strip on the bottom...

I still have the Original K tank with real pin-striping and gold leaf and a real Guilari seat pan with new foam and cover that all swaps on with no tools and factory mounts

here are some more pictures of the bike as it currently stands...

and with the other seat and tank

Off the top of my head here's what has been done:
- master cylinder rebuild
- Renthal bars
- Stainless brake lines (Slingshot)
- double disk conversion
- custom drilled rotors
- fork brace
- fiberglass fender (http://www.airtech-streamlining.com/)
- older style fork-ears and gators
- cb450 Balck bomber headlight and gauges - custom bezel made
- frame repaired (rust-hole) and powder coated
- wiring harness inspected and rewrapped
- ignition relocated under tank
- new LED smaller signals
- Ducati tail-light and custom fender eliminator
- plate relocation
- new shocks
- custom seat
- Dream style scooter mirrors
- engine rebuilt / painted
- new rings
- NOS shifter forks
- back-cut trans
- engine exhaust studs removed
- Triple-A Exhaust
- custom exhaust clamps
- all new bearings everywhere
- new gaskets and seals everywhere
- all balls stem bearings
- swing arm rebuilt by Hondaman
- powder coated Lester Mags 19" fron 18" rear
- APE valve job and head resurface
- carbs rebuilt/cleaned by HARISULUV@GMAIL.COM / James Hale

I' am sure I am forgetting things...I think the craziest part is that is was moved, in pieces, 5 times before completion

Thank you for considering my bike for Bike of the Month...and thank you for all of your help during this process....Could not have done it with out this forum

Chris

How did you get that plate, Chris?

I've heard that Century is pretty legit.  I met the owner briefly at an open house hosted by Lossa.

Depending on the manufacturer, LED's can burn out.  I'm not sure if it's a parts issue or assembly issue.  My buddy burned through random LED's on his Yoshimura fender eliminator twice.

I'm not exactly sure what to say. I graciously accept. Very excited to be a part of this. Thank you. I'll work on a bit of a write up and select some pictures.

Major screw-up on my part.

I had to remove Rod's bike from the poll.  I did not realize it until tonight -- 4 days into the voting -- that he never accepted the BOTM nomination (not before June 15th or at all).  This unfortunately violates BOTM Rule 3: "A nomination must be made, seconded and accepted within the allotted timeframe (if you do not accept a seconded nomination by the 15th of the month, you/your bike will not be included in the contest for Bike of the month)."  I take responsibility for not catching the lack of the "acceptance" on or before the end of June 15 and I am truly sorry.  Rod's bike will be eligible for nomination for next month, and I will nominate it.  My apologies to the forum members for not catching this oversight (the lack of an acceptance) four days ago.

PLEASE GO BACK AND RE-CAST YOUR VOTE FOR BOTM as I had to zero out the votes from the first 4 days.
