I was last out on New Years Day, but that was on the Wing. Minimal snow and no salt here in WI that day. Gosh you would have thought no one ever saw someone on a bike in winter...everyone was giving me a wave or thumbs up :) And cars were driving on Lake Winnebago in the background.

This one is for you Steve'o, Rick Brett's H2 snow machine up in a Michigan winter  ;)

Very cool, that motor was screaming in the beginning!  Doesnt seem to handle that well in the snow either...
Sits awful high in the air Steve and maybe not a lot of traction on that front ski. Sure there is more videos of some of his snow machines. When I was lucky enough one summer to tour his shop and his home out in his pole barn he had all kinds of crazy things powered by triple engines from 3 wheelers to little race cars etc..  Dude knows how to have some fun !!

Yeah and he has a big party up north every summer, he invites everyone on the Triples forum, I'm sure it's a blast.
One day we should head up there for it!

We got another 3+" of rain today, that makes over 7" in 3 days, and the ground is real soft now...it i'll take a couple days to harden up so I can get the bike out

That's why I suggested a car for trip to Grand Canyon...
Flagstaff and Northern AZ up in Scottly's area is the snowy...the White Mountains to the East of Phoenix with their mountain ranges are often snow covered in winter around Showlow and Pinetop.
While Phoenix and Southern Arizona not so much.  Phoenix is at about 1300 above sea level. Tucson is around 2400-2500 and Mt Lemmon an hour drive up the mountain to the NE of downtown is over 8000 and home of the southern most ski slope in North America. Not necessarily the best slope but if they get snow it is the best around without a long trip to well known ski slopes.

Enjoy that flowering desert as it does not happen every year...stock up on allergy meds and batteries for the camera and time off to enjoy the sights.

It's been rather wet even in SoCal this month.  The one good riding day we had this week was Saturday, and I was trying to get outdoor projects squared away before another heavy rain arrived Sunday.  So now I got to feel some riding withdrawal!

This layoff is just priming me up for the day, about April 15th, it happens every year without fail.
At the first fire up of the season, I get goosebumps.
First biker wave of the season, goosebumps
First time through the gears with 6500 rpm shifts, big goosebumps.
I can't wait!

Yep, I've got cycle envy now.

Saw a gsxr on the road today and my pal took a morning cruise.

Now I'm in the shop putting my rear fender back on...and that ugly fookin tail light too!

I feel your pain guys, I didn't ride any of my bikes last week at all! But I went home on the weekend and rode 3 of them, so that was OK, and I'm bringing one back with me next weekend........ ;D

Do you work a distance from your home-place ?

Yeah mate, I live in Melbourne, but work in Canberra, a 400(+) mile each way commute, so I don't get much time to ride my bikes on the weekend. This weekend I'll bring my Harley Sportster back to Canberra with me so I can give my truck a rest during the week. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Nah, as much as I love my Sportster I've got several better touring bikes in my garage, I'll just use the Sporty as my daily commuter when in Canberra.

Don't get hung up on the "vibration" myth though, my 23 year old Evo Sporty shakes very pleasingly at idle, but it's as smooth as my BMW at any speed right up to it's 6K (120 MPH) redline. Cheers, Terry. ;D
