That's a slick set-up with the AF meter.  It should help make tuning easier.

The tps is a cheap unit sourced from a hyundai tiburon. And the bracket is printed on my pla 3d printer. If anyone want the drawing, let me know and ill send it to you.

I am having problems with weither the readings or fuel starvation on the bike.

I also misread the description on the Zeitroniz site. Without the "black box" addon, a computer needs to be connected to be able to log data.
so i have ordered one.


If I do two or more 50% throttle accelerations, it gets leaner each "pull". It can start in the 13ish area. By the 3rd acceleration i can see it approach 15 on the meter. so then i abort.

I am not 100% sure that the exhaust is leak free either, so i have to check all the possible sources of error.

I got clutch issue too.
I had a clutch mod with extra oil holes, cheap clutch fiber plates and Barnett springs that worked fine with 836 and 80 rwhp.
1005cc pull much harder!

I replaced the clutch hub, both parts with another K6 original. EBC discs, the outer disc flipped for minimum oil flow into clutch and stiffer Barnett springs. Barnett has a stiffer set of springs, still not hard for clutch hand.

501-56-04015  std with Honda kits

You might need to glass bead the metals. I have not done that yet.

I bought the extra plate kit from APE. Works good so far. Only "complaint" is that it takes a bit more lever travel for the plates to completely disengage. Actually all the lever travel that i have, while still maintaining a bit of slack.

Goodies in the mail today.

I have diagnoses the reason for the lean readings to be a exhaust leak at the copper washers.

The exhaust studs threaded part is not threaded long enought to get a good squeeze. I have ordered new gaskets and will make new shorter studs.

Before i located the exhaust leak, i also suspected that i might have a fuel problem. So i ordered a pingel dual 5/16" outlet 3/8" thread tap.

I silver soldered two pipe parts together. One 3/8" and one 1/2". And mounted the tap on the tank.

The datalogger storage device also arrived in the mail. Now all i need is dry weather.

I hate to ask you this since you are light years ahead of most of us but, do you have the head exhaust studs in backwards? One end has longer threads.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

I sure hope not. Of the two threaded parts of the stud, there is a long side and a short side. I have the short threaded side in the head. I sure hope its the right way.

I just took of the nuts on the exhaust on cylinder 1 and 4.  Both were all the way to the end of the treaded area. I added some 5mm thick washers under all the nuts and retightened.


Also: Pingel 3211.  When overkill is the right amount of kill.

This is confusing. Where did you find the piece that threads onto the tank bung? I think its 14mm, but not pipe thread.

On the f2 tank the bung is larger. The 1/2" fit good and i use a aluminium washer at the bottom for sealing.  I have a f1 tank that i can check for what tread it is.

The Pingel petcocks flow very well.....just remember to shut it off when you turn off the engine. Pingel makes a nice vacuum operated unit....I have it on my FJ1200. I don't have to worry about the senility getting to me as it shuts off for me. ;D

I have the same issue with my vespa. Maybe its early onset senility.
The old Triumph doesn't leak gas, Only oil.

It is a slight PITA going from modern EFI to carburetors and petcocks and having to remember the shut-off routine.  Or remembering to turn on your petcock and having to do it on the fly when the motor starts cutting out.
