Terry, you're right, of course.  I don't get who made the USA the world police.  If "we" were true to our alleged ideals, we would have been in Darfur a long time ago.

Cheapo, there is a way to do dialysis that doesn't require electricity.  It's not terribly convenient in that it has to happen more often than 3 times a week and it would cause logistical problems, but it is possible.

What compliments?  I must have missed them. ;)

I didn't say that George Bush is a fine fellow, nor did I claim that he had justification for war.  I did say that we demean the horrors that others endured when we comapare him with Hussein.  Accusations against Bush, even if proven true, would in no way make him comparable to Hussein.  I also thought that a discussion of Hussein's crimes fit the current discussion, and I limited my post to a comparison between the two leaders.

As I stated, even if all of the above were proven true, Bush would in no way compare to Hussein.  I disagree with most of your points above; however, I don't think this is a good forum for that discussion; we can extend this discussion offline if you'd want, but I think we have beaten it pretty good already.  ;D

[edit 3 Jan: typo]

Well mate, I guess you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. All of the "accusations" about Bush are well documented, but that doesn't mean that you've been made aware of them, so I can't make you believe what you don't want to be true.

If you believe in Heaven and Hell though, don't be too surprised if, when you finally leave your mortal coil, GW isn't there at the pearly gates to welcome you! Ha ha, Cheers, Terry. ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Nor can I make you know what you want not to be true.  ;D

Huh? What do you know that I don't want to be true? WTF?  Geez mate, my wife makes more sense than you, and she's a chick! (not that there's anything wrong with that...............)  ;D

Terry, it was a play on your judgement on me:

All of the "accusations" about Bush are well documented, but that doesn't mean that you've been made aware of them, so I can't make you believe what you don't want to be true.

Next time, I'll do the, "I know you are, but what am I bit." ;D

That's a very good point Richard, personally I think he's probably residing in a nice retirement home in Florida, and living off his veterans disability pension from when the US government hired him to lead the Mujahadeen in a holy war against the Russians in Afghanistan.............  ;D

Do you think we should do a poll? I'm sure that most of the terrorists residing in the US would disagree with you mate! ;D

I hate dislike him a lot!  Before he got on his high horse the US dollar was at $1.50 Cdn.

Now it's a measly 1.15
took $40,000 out of my pocket per year since!

Sorry dude, I was referring to the "Global Economy"
doesn't always "trickle down" like SR.B  perported.......... I'm glad all is well in your small space.

Your Countries pants are down and you can't even see it ::)

Get on a plane and travel a bit...I don't mean within the US.  The world is passing by and saying hey, wasn't that the last great bastion of a free economy?  Oh wait that was the Roman Empire :'(

I live in the US and I'm not losing any money, except for medical insurance and gas prices during the summer

Are you serious....never mind. "Why did I take the bait"? theres nothing on the hook.

P.S Terry. If you will make up what I'm missing because of Bush, I'm quite prepared to start writing you checks for the difference on your yearly parts purchases ;D

Written after a few drinks, but I do pan for the days before he came into office.

Terry, you and I know that's simply fanciful.  Everyone knows that it's impossible to survive on a US Military disability pension.

I'm a little fuzzy on the math here:

US [not equals] World Policeman
US [equals] World Santa Claus

No point in examining one's own economy when the whipping boy is at the ready to go to the shed.
