Hey, I'll tell you what. You can get a good look at a butcher's ass by sticking your head up there. But, wouldn't you rather to take his word for it?

HOW TO SELL TOOTHBRUSHES*

The kids filed back into class Monday morning. They were very excited. Their weekend assignment was to sell something, then give a talk on productive salesmanship.

Little Sally led off: "I sold girl scout cookies and I made $30," she said proudly, "My sales approach was to appeal to the customer's civil spirit and I credit that approach for my obvious success."

"Very good," said the teacher.

Little Jenny was next: "I sold magazines," she said, "I made $45 and I explained to everyone that magazines would keep them up on current events."

"Very good, Jenny," said the teacher.

Eventually, it was Little Johnny's turn.

The teacher held her breath ...

Little Johnny walked to the front of the classroom and dumped a box full of cash on the teacher's desk. "$2,467," he said.

"$2,467!" cried the teacher, "What in the world were you selling?"

"Toothbrushes," said Little Johnny.

"Toothbrushes!" echoed the teacher, "How could you possibly sell enough tooth brushes to make that much money?"

"I found the busiest corner in town," said Little Johnny, "I set up a Dip & Chip stand and gave everybody who walked by a free sample."

They all said the same thing, "Hey, this tastes like dog #$%*!"

Then I would say, "It is dog #$%*. Wanna buy a toothbrush?"

"I used the governmental approach of giving you something #$%*ty for free, and then making you pay to get the taste out of your mouth."

The boat is located in Chester County; the opposite side from Pittsburgh.  I think there's one member here from that neck f the woods.  I don't think they frequent the SSDB though.  My last ditch is to hook up to it and leave it along a back road somewhere; On fire.

Hey guys, just poking my head in. Do you accept Visa?

Is that anything like just putting the tip in?  Why do you want to pay us to do that sort of thing?

Alright, here goes; the details.

It is a 14'-16' Crestliner from about 1966.  It is your "general-purpose fiberglass runabout" that was so popular back then.  It has a 35 hp chrysler OB that in in unknown condition and at the very least needs a pump.  If I make it there today, I am going to steal the motor off of it.  Basically, I have a big pile of worthless fiberglass that could be a boat but will not be until you gut it and replace the deck and seats.  I'll start the bidding at $1 million dollars and come down to free after a moment of silence.  Sorry guys, no wooden treasure here.

It ran when it was parked at some point by someone else. ;D

A real landmark in boating history, this boat will perform best at high tide.

Now just hold on a minute there Crabcake. (That just doesn't have the same ring to it like "Cupcake").

Unless you know exactly that you want it, a Chrysler OB isn't a diamond in the rough, but more like a petrified turd.  The Crestliner isn't so bad, though.  But no thanks.  I'd seriously think about it if it were wood.

I can fill it full of wood if that would sweeten the deal.  It might actually be an old Evinrude.  I'm not sure.  It is from the 60's which means it looks like it's from the future.  If it was a 70's Chrysler it would be fine as they were made by OMC.  The best thing about this motor is the price.
