Yesterday was not a good day.  I decided to go for a ride, as the weather was nice. It's been a while since I rode and it started pretty slow, which was fine. But then I went faster and faster and before I knew it, I was really flying. I lost my balance and fell off, but caught my pant leg on the footpeg.   There I was on the ground with my foot stuck, writhing in pain.  It was terrifying.

Thankfully the store manager came out and unplugged the machine. He actually had the nerve to take the rest of my coins so I wouldn't try to ride it again...

Taking no prisoners  ;D

For about 6 months I lived in an apartment complex where I wished I could do that to my wheels, and to my car's hood. One day I got into my car (Dart Swinger w/318 V-8) and it wouldn't start, which was REAL strange: it was a good car and engine. Suddenly, the Dodge van (with 318 engine) that was 3 parking spots down from mine started up and drove off: he hadn't been able to start that thing for a week. I had watched him from my balcony while he worked on it: I thought it sounded like a bad distributor rotor in his van. Then I opened my hood, found the distributor cap loose, and the rotor gone...

What was your next move with that Mark ?

The following (very snowing) weekend I attempted to climb up under that van to get my rotor back, as the hood opens from inside on those. I got really wet and cold, and my arm was about 4" short of reaching the distributor, so I didn't get it back. I'd already bought another one by then (I think it was less than $2) and was driving my car to work, etc., but was still mad about it. My lease there was ending about 2 weeks after that and I was moving into a townhome (with my then-new wife!), so that occupied my time & thoughts much more, anyway.

Some people's kids...  >:(

Best hack is to switch the coil wire and 1 plug wire. Nobody notices and it will only fire on 1 cylinder. Makes a good anti theft devise too.

On occasion when I am feeling rather cranky and see something like this I actually do poke the bear on things grossly overpriced or clearly stupid crap like the worn out parts or broken parts.
Sometimes I see a reply, sometimes not.
One thing that really blows my mind is people selling things on eBay for 2x the original price on things still available for full retail direct from the maker. A knife maker in Arkansas I like being the classic example I see again and again...
Crazy thing is people buy them...
