No matter, once the government mandates (backed with coercion, force, and ultimately violence) came about, my personal medical condition and risk/reward analysis became irrelevant.

This has pretty much been my answer. I had to explain it to mom last year. I simply said that any hope of me getting the shot went out the window when the threats and coercion started. And to be honest, there wasn't much of a chance before that. I would go so far as to say that had our govt not gone down that road, more people would be vaxxed.

This reminds me of a quote I read last year. I can't recall who it was or the exact quote, but I'll paraphrase..."My reason for not getting vaxxed is simple. I dislike the people who want me to take it. My refusal makes them furious, and that, in turn, makes me happy."

I can definitely relate.

hey...not to worry...the same people, in charge, that get furious.....are now working on getting free crack pipes to a certain class of people. ( isn't that discrimination?) ...Should  I mention the "needle" vending machines proposal?
...and I'm to trust those people? The same people who change definitions to suit their agenda? ...nope..
....the vaccine is not a vaccine.
actual wuhan death counts are unobtainable....deaths with the virus are tainted with deaths "from" the virus....what source do we trust for the differentiation?...

and I love this...

Ha ha, don't you know that you should never let the facts get in the way of a good story Scott? ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Just gonna leave this here: the NYT fact-checked the claims made on Rogan's show.

https://www.nytimes.com/2022/02/08/arts/music/fact-check-joe-rogan-robert-malone.html

Rogan's obviously got more than disinfomation problems right now.

Interesting. You cite the “fact checking” of medical experts and scientific data by a person with a degree in Journalism. A person with a professional background in political fact checking. How objective that journalist must be…  ::)

And she “fact checked” opinions, analogies, and references the subjects made as allegories. FFS, you must be the most myopic dolt who ever sh!t between two shoes.

Way to keep it respectful Cal, always a beacon of class.

Rather than dismiss the story and insult the messenger, why not click on the links in the story? They include the CDC, a statistical aggregator called Our World in Data, a medical journal connected to Yale, epidemiologists, an Indian research agency, etc. Reading is fun, and you might learn something.

I learned, by reading, that it's racist to notice a person is not wearing a mask:

So much science... Maybe she was holding her breath?

Cal, you're kind of a snowflake, but definitely cute at the same time.

While I enjoy your rants and insults, you curmudgeonly cutie, you and goodtryer never seem to respond to what's being discussed -- Joe Rogan's guest being fact-checked -- but instead rant about whatever you feel like. "Children and masks!" "The vaccine doesn't work!" (Medical authorities assure you that it does). "You're stupid!" And other assorted red herrings. Never, or rarely I guess, addressing the topic at hand.

It's clear, I think, to most that you guys just want to rant and fling poo and have the last word. More power to you guys.

Today I learned, by reading a Facebook fact check, that the British Medical Journal, published since 1840, is a "blog".

So much fact checking!

West Australian Police confirmed they had attended the church after receiving reports people were not wearing masks.

“Upon attendance, five people were spoken to by police and complied in wearing a mask. One person provided proof of an exemption,” a police spokesperson said.

Seems you are not aware of the Gov Regs in NSW, Mate
https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/stay-safe/rules/people-in-nsw#toc-weddings-funerals-and-religious-ceremonies

Isn’t a QR Code to prove vaccination status a colloquial for “checking papers” ? Now I’m not suggesting they stormed in with small arms brandished, but, the turning up at a ceremony to play hall monitor does seem consistent with treating citizens like children and subjects to the Crown, not a free people.

Nope, the QR code is there so that we can be contacted in case there’s a “close contact” situation and we then need to go get tested. We need to “check in” at restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies etc for that reason.

I suppose that in a twisted dystopian world, where folks only believe far right politicians and radio/internet “shock jocks”  over doctors and medical scientists that might be considered an attack on someone’s freedom, but personally, I’d rather be told that I may have come into contact with someone with Covid, than not? ;D

As opposed to far left, tyrannical, group-think Muppets? I’ll take logic and reason for $500, Alex.

I’m surprised you’re concerned about coming into contact with someone who tested positive for COVID since you’re triple-vaxxed. What, vaxxed and not immune? Tsk, tsk tsk… How does one live freely with so much fear of dying-

Nope, I know that you you can’t comprehend the purpose of vaccinating a populace against a virus that’s killing thousands of people in your own country every day, so I won’t bother explaining the benefits therein, but I’m not at all worried about contracting Covid-19 because I am triple vaxxed.

The reason that we have the check in protocol is so that if we have contact with children who aren’t vaccinated or friends/family who have immune system problems (like my workmate with cancer who caught covid for the second time 3 weeks ago and died) we can be tested, and if necessary, isolate so we don’t pass it on to them.

As for those who are intentionally unvaccinated, well, they’re a dying breed, so as Covid isn’t going to “One day disappear, as if by magic” eventually they’ll disappear and the gene pool will be stronger for it. ;D

Not sure it's like this in other countries, but here in the US, you're still considered "unvaccinated" until 2 weeks after your shot. This is significant, since most vaxx injuries occur within a few days after getting jabbed. That means most vaccine related problems are going under the radar. I doubt it was an oversight.

You mean “a dying breed” like every other human being on planet earth? Psssst… nobody is getting out of here alive. Hate to be the one to break it to you, Mr Intellect.

Perhaps you missed the whole “scientific evidence” that children are not susceptible to the virus at the same level as adults. I won’t try to explain science to you, since you obviously can’t comprehend independent rational thought.

You keep telling yourself that your QR code is just for communicating. Sounds eerily similar to the platitudes told by the Jews to their “concerned fellow citizens”. Remember how that worked out for them… call me a conspiracy theorist all you want. I have my eyes wide open as to the horrific turn things can take based upon countless historical evidence. I see a future that I don’t want, therefore I stand firm now so as to prevent a fight later.

Feel free to do as you please.

Dead man talking? I'll be interested to see how many of you anti vaxxers are still here in a years time to continue the debate. ;D

I feel the exact same way about those who took the experimental gene therapy, which has no long-term study results. I've already been through covid. It was basically a bad cold and Ivermectin cleared it up pretty much overnight. The wife took the jab and has been seeing a neurologist for headaches ever since. Dad passed away in July 2020, just a few months after being vaxxed. My neighbor took the shot and then spent nearly a month in the hospital with an inflamed pancreas. He's still recovering at home and looks like a ghost. Several folks with blood clots and heart issues. My 27-yr-old stepson was just treated for a blood clot in his leg, shortly after his 1st pfizer dose. I can't wait to find out what the long-term consequences are.
