That is a really tough looking bike and a fantastic build.
Who can guess what bike the build is based on?

Must be a Bike Of The Month contender!

PeWe - I'm interested to hear what you think was the inspiration, because I can't pinpoint anything. Remember, I started designing the overall layout in about 2009.

Tim2005 - If you didn't know it what it was, you'd never guess from riding it. The geometry/suspension/brakes/weight distribution mimics current designs, so it handles like a modern bike. The turbo starts building boost at 5k, is at full boost by 6k, and then pulls till 10k. Slow by modern fast bike standards, but probably as quick as a Ninja 400. It weighs just over 400lbs, there's no getting away from the mass of a 4 cylinder engine, the turbo, and all the associated intake plenums.

Sounds a lot of fun. Does the clutch cope ok? When I've tuned these motors I've always found that is quite a problem

The clutch will slip under boost until the oil temp is at least 125F. Once it is fully warmed there is no problem. The Barnett plates are a major p.i.t.a. when cold. They stick together like glue. Even on a nice summer day I usually start the bike in the garage, let the oil warm up a bit, back it out on the the sloped approach, and when I leave I let it coast down the slope before I put it in gear.  The plates will still stick for the first 50 feet or so with the lever pulled in.

Wow, that is a lot of work!  At first glance, I was thinking you posted your Buell photos by mistake!  You really need to have your own shop manual for this one - just for maintenance and spare parts!

Yes, a 2" thick file folder, a 1" thick note book, gigabites of CAD files, and a wiring diagram that covers 2 sheets of 11"x17" paper.
