Looks like a very pleasing body piece and fits your frame, etc.  8)
Will you be able to tuck behind it without needing to slide back on the seat too much ?

if its got the original Moto Martin seat on it there ain't nowhere to slide to
I think that is generally the idea

Exactly, there will be no sliding in any way, shape or form in this seat  ;D

The shield on the front fairing in the picture above looks to be cut-open to allow the rider to tuck-flat into it's design.

New tires arrived this week.
As the front wheel now is changed from 16" to 17" new front rubber was needed.
As for the rear it is good as new threadwise, but has been sitting for over two decades...
The plan is to find a newer GSXR rear rim as they are slightly wider than tihe one fitted now.

Also recieved the materials needed to manufacture the new fairing and headlight stays.
They need to be slightly different than the stays for the full fairing, and I do not want to modify the current one should I want to switch back to the full fairing.
So, a new one has to be manufactured and as I couldnt decide between aluminium or stainless I picked up material for both... ;)

And as the snow has melted away quite early this year, the two Yamahas are now primed and ready for the summer  :D

Next up is to give the CB750 an oilchange and a checkup  :)

Fitted the new front tire this evening, and with the front wheel back on the Martin is now back on its feet.
The visual difference from the dragrace setup it was in when I picked it up and the street setup I'm taking it back to is quite striking  8)

That's a great engine. Gotten them into the 180RWHP range and they are bullet proof after welding the crank.

This particular engine is from 1981 so it originally came with the small 25mm alternator big end.
When the engine was resleeved and taken up to 1260cc the crank was welded and the big end was replaced with the beefier  29mm big end from a 1984 1150 engine  :)
The builder/previous owner never had it on the dyno so the actual output is so far unknown, but to be able to run consecutive 9.7-second runs on the quarter mile should put it somewhere around 160-ish RWHP I guess...?

Good move replacing the alt end. God....there were so many combinations for those eng involving alt ends, starting clutch drives etc....PITA. Anyway....160RWHP is very doable. My FJ1200 (1314cc) is in that range though it is harder to get the FJ (or DOHC Honda) engine in that range. The TSCC cylinder head is far superior to the FJ/DOHC heads.

Well yes, it is a well setup engine that probably will work good back on the street too.
To have the full history from the builder is of course a very good thing, and so far all my questions has been answered.
There are pretty much just one questionmark left, and that is what the cams are...
I know they are Norris cams, but I don´t know what model and the builder doesn´t remember.
I´ve got his measurements and his notes from when the cams were fitted and degreed, but nowhere has he noted the model.
Oh well, I´ll check for any signs of numbers or anything else when I´ll lift the camcover, and if I don´t find anything it´ll be an unknown...

Found a couple of minutes to mount the tank/seat-unit the other day.
It´s still a looong ways to go, but it´s always good to get a visual reference of the mods I´ve done so far... and I do really like where this is going  :D

Started the process of mocking up the new half fairing.
Will need some more fine adjustments but this is pretty close to the final placement  :)

Here's a couple of pics that illustrates the difference between the dragrace-setup with the full fairing I picked it up in and what it looks like right now with the screen  :)
