Hello all!
I'm looking for a 836cc kit. Where is the best place to get one?
I found one on the cyclexchange site thats reasonably priced http://www.cyclexchange.net/Honda%20Page.htm
Has anyone had any experience with these guys? it looks like they make some pretty interesting things.
Also curious about jetting or re-carbing and cams for this setup. possible weber carbs?
Someone point me in the right direction!
PS: How about that rain at the chicago Mods Vs Rockers. Wow i got soaked!!

I ordered my set of Wisco Pistons from www.dynoman.net
Good service and price, although it seems they have gone up $100 since I bought mine in 2005.

ya, i saw their site. these other guys i qouted earler are a little more than half the cost.
Thats why i'm asking about them.

While I did not buy a big bore kit from them, everything I have picked up from them has been top notch. Ken has always been more than helpfully on the phone also. Good people in my book!

I got my 836 pistons and some other engine stuff from them "cyclexchange" for mine. Haven't run it yet, but the mechanic seemed impressed with them.

I got my Wiseco pistons from Megacycle camshafts along with cam.

The Cyclexchange pistons are cast unlike the Wiseco ones which are forged.

Why not go with Big Jay and support a fellow board member.

I did get my cam at Megacycle. My engine builder didn't like the specs on the Cyclexchange ones.

I went to the CBR site and they list valve guides for the SOHC 750.
Would these work in the F head? I'd sure like to keep the ole F head.

Forged are stronger. Cast pistons have a tendency to crack fairly easy with detonation where as forged will take alot more abuse.

cast pistons are fine for a street/very mild race bike.if you are going to get serious about racing,sustained high rpms or using nitrous,turbo things like that,you better go forged.

It wasn't intensional Mark, the motor had been on methanol for a few years. I deceided to try it on 50/50 but my mate tanked it up from the wrong container. Yes WOW!!!!!!!!

100% nitro. It fired up and ran perfect but wouldn't pull under load

That was way back in 71 but I still have the bike

might try it again one day

It made the bike allmost twice as loud and you couldn't breath within 10 foot of it.
