what is the thought behind the 'exhaust bar'? for regidity/looks/gives special powers?anyone know if that is a sportster seat?
wouldnt there be a risk of... whats it called. scaving? like with the chambers in 2stroke exhaustsi have been thinking that a sportster seat would work well for my 550 cafe project. seen it done anywhere anyone?

It mainly helps mid range torque On most bikes ( the ones I've cut exhausts up) there is only a smallish hole in the main pipe (smaller than the cross/balance pipe) so it also has some sound deadening effect (Helmholtz resonator probably?)PJ
