Graveyard or gold mine?

these appear to be images of Kohl's Cycle in Lockport, NY (about 25mins from me).... that floor collapsed with someone on it picking through bikes to buy a part.....there was a big lawsuit involved and the place closed down immediately, and all those bikes have disappeared now to who-knows-where

As the alternator cover appears intack, the belt drive is more likely for a magneto.  Pully sizes look close to 2 to 1 which would be right.

I've got an 03 VFR800 unit, with the master to match, which is going on mine.
It's cheap, has the right amount of stroke and, hopefully, won't need a heap of machining to fit.

BTW, it's a shame that guy from Sydney Cafe Racers has such a chip on his shoulders about Pipeburn and BikeExif.

I, for one, appreciate everyones efforts in posting pics and info.

Which reminds me, thanks again ffJMoore for your ongoing contributions.  :D

Yeah i dont understand what his deal is. A while back pipeburn did a story on BikeEXIF or vise versa. But i thought it was real cool to see that they appreciate what the other is doing.

The signal lites are common in Germany, i brought home a new set , still in a box somewhere. Most you see are repop, but original were used on Beemere.

here's inspiration for you... do an ebay search for completed motorcycles with "cafe" as the search word, and look how much people are paying for 'cafe' bikes. If you're willing to pay 11k for a basic rattlecan resto-mod of a cx500, give me a call, I'll cut you quite a deal.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HONDA-CAFE-RACER-STEAMPUNK-RETRO-BOBBER-TRACKER-VINTAGE-ANTIQUE-CUSTOM-CX500-/160810533014?pt=US_motorcycles&hash=item25710e0096#ht_1636wt_1165

Wow.  Can't believe it went for that!  I can appreciate the work that went into it but it is one ugly bike, IMO.  The tail looks like it was rear ended by a car, the way it is tweaked up.

Anything is only worth the $'s it changes ownership for.
Granted, it looks like it's copped a load of quality work but it's still as ugly as hat full of "chocolate spiders"!
To each their own.

I bet they burn the hell out of their leg on those pipes too.

They burn their arms and hands too reaching for things. The CL series Hondas burned lots of people. I was working at a Honda dealer at the time.

Spikey, you gotta catch on. he did a redirect without notice.  :D  To your point, I too, don't get the digging up of old posts, i hardly have time to keep up with the new posts.

To Lucky's point, I too remember the CLs, am babysitting a CL77 right now.  High pipes, what an abomination, but I think they did sell well. Girls in shorts beware!
