Jay, do you have any idea how much horse on the Alky Honda750.? When you stay, it still beats most of the bikes you mean the other 4cyls? Bet it makes a bit of torque.. ;D

Horsepower, Hmm, stock hp plus 836cc plus planed head, cam, bla bla, plus alc fuel.  I do know that Joe Allans 750 beats (me)Jay Allens 750s every time. He is "the750guy" So he should be answering this question. I know if he is in the class we race in (vintage) he will win. So sometimes he will enter into the newer bike classes like 600cc and open class give them a real good run for there money and sometimes win, Its racing, anything can happen. You guys would love to see this stuff

Jay, I'm guessing those are CB750 frames on your bikes, but what frontends and swingarms did you use?  Guess I never looked hard enough to see if a monoshock would fit a 750 frame with the stock oilbag.  What do those bikes weigh?

Hmmm.... might be witnessing the beginning of my next project bike.  A 750 would make a kickass adventure bike and still have good enough road manners to hit the slab and travel on.  Throw on a set of Jesse bags and a small windscreen and do the ADV thing ;)

Weigh? I dunno but I can grab the rear fender & pick up the back end to move it around in the shop and I am just a skinny little old guy!
They are a cut & paste from cb750 and a 1984 XR350. Monoshock needs a plate welded in at the top and the brackets that were cut from the 350 welded on at the bottom and a spacer for the swingarm. The oil bucket can stay but the battery and electrics has to be relocated. I removed the starter and put a smaller battery there. The front end is a little tricky but very do-able. I zip cut the 750 steering neck out and welded in the 350, backbone mated to the monoshock plate. The 350 downtube fit into the center where the 750 branches into two downtubes. It was quite easy really, cuz everything fit (all Honda) Check out "Monoshock" in the projects section.

I don't think America is cool enough to have street legal quads.

Montana allows street legal quads.

REALLY!? like, just a  wheeler on the road with lights and sh!t? or are they cool ass street quads?

They are legal here in Wyoming too. Basically any kind of vehicle can be made street legal now in Wyoming: golf carts, quads, dirt bikes, tuk tuks, odd vehicles that are not DOT compliant for safety. Call it a multi-purpose vehicle.  Just add lights and turn signals, buy insurance, and you can get a plate for it to ride everywhere BUT the interstate highways. It was a new law last July. Hasn't caught on in a big way yet, but we are starting to see a few more odd-ball vehicles on the roads.

There's a guy in town with an odd little truck, with a 600 cc engine. He drives it everywhere. Keeps up with traffic, and gets great mileage. Basically one of these, but I don't think it is a Suzuki:

Here is a Tri Fun.  they are legal in most states and relevant because it is a "motorcycle"

Sorry, no higher res available.

Now for some vintage Crocker iron:

1934 Crocker Big Tank

1935 Crocker Speedway

1936 Crocker Small Tank

1934 Crocker Speedway

Here is some interesting history about Crocker.  The Big Tank and Small Tank Crockers were designed by Al Crocker and speedway racer Paul Adelburt Bigsby.  After the company folded as a result of the depression, Bigsby would go on to design guitars, inventing the Bigsby tremolo arm and the pedal steel guitar.  The machines resembled the OHV twins that Harley and Indian were producing at the time, but with the stock 1000cc engine producing 60 hp and a top speed of 110 mph, the performance was vastly superior anything the 'Big Two' were putting out.  In fact, Al Crocker so believed in the performance and abilities of the machines that he guaranteed a full refund to any owner who lost a race to Harley or Indian.  American's major V-twin manufacturers were caught by surprise at the Crocker's performance, and its timing to market several months before their (Harley's) launch of the OHV 'Knucklehead.' Sensing a threat, the 'Big Two' allegedly influenced the Edward G. Budd Wheel Company of Auburn Hills, Michigan, and the Kelsey-Hayes Wheel Company of Jackson, Michigan (suppliers of wheels for the Ford Motor Company), not to sell their wire-wheels to Crocker. In response, Crocker sold his motorcycles without wheels.
