It ain't poifect, but it's cool enough for me. A mix of stuff here---I think it all ended up working together pretty well. I love the old brit bike look so had to have some fork gaiters and a pedestrian slicer. The hardcore cafe look is my favorite but, the hardware was just too impractical and expensive so that meant no zbars, no bum stop and no rear sets. Did the tank & side covers with rattle cans, decals and pinstripe, everything sealed in with umpteen coats of clear lacquer & buffed to a fair gloss.

Here's the deal. When I got this bike it it was a POS (see my gallery) and I didn't know thing one about it's history or potential and had no idea what to do with it. This website made it possible for me to do the work and make the decisions to get it done right. My hat is humbly off---long live SOHC4.NET!

So there it is. Pretty much done for at least a couple of years. Put on 80 miles last weekend riding betwixt the snowbanks. Soon as I get my SOHC Patch, I'm gonna put it on the rear end of the seat where HONDA used to be.

Sweet looking ride. I love how you carried the pinstripe from the airbox onto the side cover. Well done indeed.

Very nice! I like the gold paint on the front brake and how you extended the gold line onto the airbox - -nice touch. Looks like a lot of attention to detail and thanks for the detailed photos and vendors list - very impressive!

Time will tell how rugged they are, but I do like the looks. Same ones on front and rear.

i was never big on that tank because it is so fat and bulbous... w/ the checks on the bottom it tends to make the tank look not so much that way anymore.  THANK YOU!

You're right about that tank Hef, it's a chubby. I was going to run the checkers flat along the bottom edge and my kids said no, no, no---you gotta give em a little arc across the side. He was right. I think that's what kinda lifts it and lightens it a bit.

And BTW, won't my new SOHC patch look sweet across the back of the seat a la Uncle Ernie's? I think so.

What pipes are you running? Are those MAC 4 into 2's?

Yeah, the Mac people were cool, very polite, when I opened the box and then called out there wondering where my clamps were (clamps? clamps? you don't need no stinkeen clamps) 
I was truly sorry to ditch those awesome original pipes---but, they were full of holes on the outside and baffle chunks rattlin around on the in  .
Oh well, no idea what the originals sound like, but these things start asserting themselves pretty good at around 4000.

Man you hit the nail on the head with that look.  Looks like it could have come out of a time capsule...
