Hi guys brand new to this and from Auckland .i have a cb350/4 and have been building a cb500/4 for a while.  Have found on my cb500 biuld that the frame I started with is bent . So was hoping someone on hear mite have a frame for sale .they don't come up on trade me that often

How bent..?  Getting it straightened is always an option... ;)

The frame has a curve in the back bone to the right and the fork angle is out to.
Since the frame no longer has a vin number in the system I didn't think ther was any point spending money to fix it . A new frame should be cheaper. The bike is a bit of mix  I tried to attach a photo but I don't think it has been approved yet haha. It's  a cb500 frame and motor , gsxr forks and brakes front and rear , Harley wheels ....

Hi guys, Marlborough here.I've got a CB750K1 that was last registered in 79 and was pulled to bits.I got it in about 90 but there was too much missing to do anything at the time,not to mention I was suffering from a bad case of poverty for a long time.But a couple of months ago I decided to dig through the sheds and see just what I had and then I realised that because it had been pulled to bits so early what was there was original.So I've been buying parts when the right ones come up.
Also doing up an XS650.

Hi all,

Just got my first CB750F 1982 this weekend. Bought off a guy in Woodville and rode back to Auckland on saturday. It was a really nice ride. Engine is in great shape! Really enjoyed.

This will be my 6 month project as I'm planing to renovate a bit, put new seat, handle bar, front/back lights etc etc.

I'm in Auckland and looking for a group to go for weekend rides. Let me know if any of you are in Auckland so we can meet up.

I'll be posting some pics later.

Hey Phil,this isPhil from Wgtn, I have just joined this site and have a c.b 750 hard tail chopper that was originally built in the 70's as a kit bike,and will be posting pictures soon,

Hi Rich ... the CRC held up very well, but have just swapped the frames between the bikes which meant a complete strip down of both bikes, and went over everything. This time I used Supercheap Autos and purchased Duplicolour engine enamels and used that for all frame parts and the engine.

Hi all,

I'm currently in search for my first SOHC/4, mainly after a CB550 or 350F. Hoping you guys may know where I can get my hands on one don't really mind the conditions of the bike, I'm looking into building a bit of a cafe/brat.

Welcome to the forum, your best bet is to keep an eye out on trade me. I purchased my 550 from a friend just over 3 years ago. Back then you would see the odd 550 or 500 come up regularly on trademe but over the last 2 years fewer and fewer are being advertised and asking prices have gone up. I have noticed a few 350/4 lately though...

good luck with your search...try find one that has a live registration that runs at least otherwise you will more than likely be in for a complete rebuild which is costly. From my experience it is worth paying more for a running bike as the cost of rebuilding adds up very very quickly....If i could turn back the clock that's what I would do.

I'm a kiwi now living in the US. brought my first restoration with me from NZ. Its a 61 c92 benly that I picked up at an action in Napier. I had no idea what it was, just liked the look of it. Now working on a 67 superhawk.
