did you build this bike..???
yup. I handed the bike over to a local shop for one thing in the process and they did more damage then good :( so aside from the welding on the muffler bracket and applying the rhyno liner this thing is 100% me in my garage.

full top end tear down and rebuild
ceramic coated then taped pipes with custom taper/flange in stainless
Two Brothers carbon exhaust from CBR600RR
all bolts etc stainless steel
oil pressure guage from Carpy
alloy front and back sprockets, 630 O ring chain
custom spin on oil filter set up and Lockhart cooler (Terry from Oz)
new Honda gaskets throughout
pod filters
KYB rear shocks
Kuryakyn mirrors
home made curved license plate holder, alloy side panel, rear brake lite/signal housing
Carb rebuild
custom wiring harness
frame stripped of all useless bits and repainted
custom lighting set up
lots of rattle cans of various high heat paints
Dyna coils, Accel 8.8 wires, platinum Irridium resistor plugs
Hondaman Ignition box and resistor pack
Metzeler ME550 rear, Cheng Shin Barracuda front tire
Clubman bars
Red A'me rounds
new regulator/rectifier, solenoid, bladed fuse box
not shown are some Superbike grips and weighted bar ends (A'me's looked cool, but I was numb in 1/2 mile)
in the works still:
RaceTech gold valve cartridge emulators
Progressive Suspension springs
Fork rebuild
Brake master cylinder rebuild
EBC brake pads
I am also experimenting with laying carbon fiber for a front fender and rear inner fender, wish me luck...

Looks great!  The more I see the rhino liner body panels, the more I like them.

When i first heard of folks using the liner for a finished paint job i doubted it would look any good, but i was wrong, that bike is a knockout!
Only thing i`m not sure about (and this is only my personal opinion) is the seat looks real short compared to the rear wheel.
All in all i would say that is one hell of a bike and would have folks drooling over it anywhere you go.

Nice work! Love the muffler.  A rear hugger mounted to the swingarm might look wild and could be far enough away from the cafe seat to not alter the current "extreme" look of  rear.  Carbon fiber would look nice.  Once you do the fender(s) in carbon fiber, lay it on the tank and seat  and loose the Rhino do do. ;D

"loose the Rhino do do"

I guess that is one vote against the rhino liner ;)
at least I don't have to worry about spilling gas or dropping wrenches on it :)

all opinions accepted and appreciated, she is a work in progress. This winter I will be re-doing the padded part of the seat with watercraft foam in a more traditional cafe style (li'l hump in back, some snaps along the cowl), and probably doing some knee dents in the tank. At that point I may install a small fairing which would look stupid in rhino, so a fresh paint job on the tank/seat may be in order.

Actually Proteal put it on his 750 cafe and displayed it here.  Theres a pic or two of it in in the inspiration gallery thread.  Not my cup of tea, but to each is own. . . A well done carbon fiber look would take your bike to the next level IMHO.  Oh,  and I dig the custom license plate holder. . .  .

I am sure I am not the first (or last) to do the rhino thing. It works for now, but all bits are subject to change as I will probably keep this one 10-20+ years and I never leave a bike well enough alone.

Just a thought...why not make the fairing in CF then it ties to the theme that you currently have going on.

Great looking bike :o...Love the color scheme

I gotta ask...are you planning on rear-sets?  Is it comfortable as it is?

Cheers...Joe

Rearsets may be in the future for this bike, we'll see. I have a 29 inch inseam so my reach to the pegs isn't too bad and my posture on the bike is fairly upright considering the clubmans and low seat. I think rearsets might help get the tank from spreading my knees so far out, that and some knee dents.

Thanks to all for the compliments, suggestions and even criticisms. Thanks as well to all board members who helped immeasurably with advice during the build process :)

sorry about the camera phone quality, but here are some updated pix I popped this morning on what will probably be my last good ride of the season. In a week or 2 I will be re-building the forks w/ RaceTech cartridge emulators, Progressive Suspension springs, and all new seals and gaskets, and re-building the master cylinder, drilling the rotor, fresh EBC pads and SS braided lines as well as sorting some electrical gremlins and such.
