I built a 30' wall of shelving, of course it was not enough.
You can see part of it behind the bike.

Are those 8' saw horses hanging up on the ladder brackets?

I’ve had three different lifts. Troll KIJIJI, Marketplace, Craig’s List etc. and save yourself a lot of cash…. Lots of people buy them and then lose interest/ space. All mine have been in perfect shape, usually just need a good cleaning. My favourite cost $300. The little one had some flaky paint I eventually redid, but was $150!

I bought the Wildfire XLT 9000 lb 4 post lift 3 1/2 years ago.  It cost a little more than some of the others.  The Wildfire features fully enclosed posts as opposed to the channel construction on other lifts.  The channel post lifts are wobbly.  There was a 4.9 earthquake here a year ago.  I was driving at the time and didn't know it happened until I heard about it on the news later.  I had one of the Crown Vics on the lift 6 feet in the air at the time.  I thought 'uh-oh' when I heard the news as I hadn't been out in the shop since the quake.  But all was well, couldn't tell anything had happened.  It would have been interesting to see what was going on during the quake, but the car and lift rode it out without any consequence.  Might have been a different story with one of the cheaper lifts, but who knows.  The XLT costs $500 more now than it did when I got mine, but I would do it again.  Their standard 9000 lb lift now costs what I paid for the XLT, and may be adequate for a lot of people.  Same construction, just a little shorter.  Saying something is game changer is an overused cliche, but true in this case.  It made the recent transmission job on my son's C5 much easier.  I actually look forward to oil changes.  I use it as a bike lift too.

Yes they are. They are made from TJI composite floor joists and work great plus they don't weigh very much.

I like my lift alot. If you work on cars much, it's the best tool that you can buy. They have gone up alot in price in recent years.

Yep, they work great for that. I have 4 of them.
Actually they come in handy sometimes.

They are especially viscous if you sharpen the “teeth” with a three sided file!

This style is good for pipe and irregularly shaped objects. Destroys reluctant spin on filters too!
