New guy with a '72 750
« on: December 21, 2008, 09:08:58 PM »
hello people. another new guy with a cafe racer project ;D i've liked the cb750's for a while and finally bought one last fall. its a '72 with 15,000 on it and seems to have sat under water for a few years (well not really just lots of surface rust), but it runs really well. Anyways i plan on doing a cafe style build. right now i have a super sport tank, some kinda 4-1 exhaust, one of "carpys" solo seats and some  club man bars that i hope to swap out for clip ons soon. i plan on making the solo seat into a 2 seater by cutting off the top part of the seat, turning it upside and using it for the seat base. i'll also make a support bar coming off the frame for it and bolt the base to it, and just attach the cushion with some kinda heavy duty velcro. i'm trying to figure out how i'm going to mount the passenger pegs along with the rear sets. i'll get something going. anyways still have to strip the bike and sand blast the frame, swing arm and other little parts.

btw, sorry for the crappy quality of the pics.
