What a great day. The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride raised over $1.4 Million so far. I had awesome support from friends and family that I ended up being the 7th highest fundraiser of 327 riders in LA!! It was a well organized and successful event.  We met up at Griffith Park, took Sunset Boulevard down to Venice to Deus Ex Machina and then to Downtown LA at the Ace Hotel.

The Nine Lives bike was awarded best custom bike of the ride -- too cool!!

My Frankenstuff seat mounts keep splitting on the curve opposite the bolt. I love the simplicity of the design and like the cushion provided by the material but I think I'm going to weld in some steel mounting tabs.

I'm not sure if anyone else has had any similar issue with the mounts. They are not over tightened and seem to be splitting simply from wear.

Swapping out the over-sprung fork springs for a less aggressive rate and saying good-buy to my cracked fork gaiters.

Over sprung or under damped...?   To thin a fork oil will make the forks bouncy...

Since the fork tubes are shorter than stock, there's too much tension.  It would work okay if I weighed a heck of a lot more, but they are simply too stiff for the shorter tubes.  I need a spring for someone much lighter since the tube is shorter.  Make sense?

Something I noticed about FrankenFrankenstuff's seat mounts.  The only ones that have been failing (splitting) are on the right side of the bike -- the ones closest to the oil tank.  It would appear that this formula of rubber is less tolerant to heat cycles.

I just rode the bike with the new Race Tech springs -- a much improved ride with a more suitable spring rate.  I'm also scrubbing in a new set of Bridgestone BT45s to replace the Spitfires (aka plastic pucks). 
100/90/19 Front
130/80/18 Rear

Really enjoying the 750.  I am contemplating installing some rearsets for more leg comfort and better boot grip/leverage in cornering.

Well, I ordered a set of Tarozzi sets.  Took the bike out for a spin down PCH into Downtown Huntington Beach.  The bike drew a small gathering of onlookers.  Pretty cool.

But, as fate would have it, she crapped out on the ride back -- started missing on one of the cylinders and then stalled.  Had to limp her home.  I will have to look at her tomorrow when there's more light and heat.  It's getting downright chilly in SoCal.

Never been a fan of cafe styled bikes until I saw some of them on this forum.  And yours is one of my favorites.  Absolutely stunning bike.

Thanks, guys.  I'm really enjoying the motor.  The combination of the 836 Wiseco kit, ported head and cam really wake up the bike.  That combined with stripping weight where possible.  The bike wants to lift the front in second gear.  The new lighter springs still provide a fairly stiff front end but are an improvement (the GL front is sprung for a much heavier bike, so when you bolt onto a 750 it's a good idea to get the lightest springs).
