Yup, Yards in Az.
50 grand for 1/2 stake in business, maybe even less. One of the half owners died a few years ago and all their family saw was dollar signs and wanted to dump the whole place, send it all to scrap for a one time pay out, I know a legal battle ensued but you can still probably buy them out of their half. If I had 50 grand in my pocket... it seems pretty stable as of now.
They buy and re-sell newer wrecked sports bikes from insurance companies, that and the normal tires and parts any other motorcycle shop goes though. The rest of the place and the majority of what you see in the photos is just rotting away... They must have acculating most of it years ago. The half owner who died a while back was fine with parts prices, but you had to catch him in a good mood. Lately they seem to think some of their #$%* is made of gold. 200+ bucks for a 750 swing arm? But I did get that 550 header in the last picture for 20 bucks, it really just depends.
To me, the place is an absolutely fascinating anomaly. Its mind boggling the amount of potential sitting there, and the stories of how those bikes ended up there. Every one of those bikes was bought new off the showroom floor at some point. There is something deeply interesting, and deeply depressing about the place. Many times I have though to just go up to him and tell him I will sell the stuff sitting rotting away and split the profits with him...
and 754, 20 truckloads would barley put a dent in this place. I cant imagine trying to move all of it. Place is 375 feet by about 600
So basically, someone buy out half of it then hire me
