Looks like I will make it, not a a guest speaker for Sandcast Club, as there is not specific meet for them, not with my bikes to race, but with my cooler full of bier, brats, steaks and Martini's.

Talked with Ken at Cycle X this week and we're going to meet up and talk shop, toss some brews down.

Hope to see Old Scrambler, Big Bob again and meet a few others from the forum...

See ya there
220...221, whatever it takes.

Oh yeah. I'm sure i'll be walking around hunched over with permanently bent knees Friday night. Hopefully some new bars will make the trip a little nicer. I've ridden it about 4 hours before, and besides a numb butt and achy knees it wasn't all that bad.

Can't ride a nighthawk to a vintage show when you've got a super cool 350F.

I like your attitude :D Maybe you should hold it wide open all the way there to cut down on the seat time.

Is there any other way to ride a 350?

Thanks Bob for the bump............Yes, its getting close.............just met with Will Stoner on Friday and Saturday. We have the swap meet location planned for right next to the club corrals at the north track entrance .........just after the tunnel..........

If know one from this club has arranged for a club space........all members are invited to park their bikes and visit at the VJMC club corral just inside of the tunnel entrace to the infield and across the drive from the swapmeet.  I'll be their from Friday to Sunday and will have room for 100 or more bikes.  If you insist on pavement parking next door, be sure to bring a side-stand 'foot' to protect the pavement. If someone will forward a banner from the Mid-Ohio event I will display it on my trailer. If you want to camp on the sod next to the corral..........I will have a group camping permit. You will also need to purchase an individual permit..........look at www.roadamerica.com for details.

Ken's Cycle-X will be vending in the swapmeet so be prepared...........Lots of shop talk expected with KOS.......

Just bought my weekend pass. Hope to see you guys at the VJMC booth. I will drive over from Oshkosh which is only about 1.5 hours from home. Might like to drive the track but not sure about the particulars yet on that.

A wedding on Saturday and a birthday party for a friend that's visiting from out of state as a back up event makes me a sad individual,  :'(  Hope someone is able to take a bunch of pictures of the event.

I'll be at the VJMC booth for most of Friday and Sunday.......look for my Bucchus Olive CB750K3.  On Saturday I will spend more time at the MOTORCYCLE CLASSICS show & ride display.  If you plan to camp be sure to get a permit. I have a group permit for the VJMC booth with plenty of parking.

The VJMC members are all invited to bring a bike to display. My experience at the Mid-Ohio and Barber Festival events indicates 20 or more bikes are expected.  I am inviting SOHC/4 members to display as well to attract spectator attention.  Several real nice XS650 Yamahas are expected and I have invited someone to bring their collection of each Yamaha Enduro model. The Cafe-Style 305 Scrambler in my avitar will be on display (maybe for sale) and a Tohatzu Run-Pet Sport is expected along with a few 305 Superhawks and a real nice original Susuki 500 Titan. Other clubs will also have display space and include air-head beemers, all things British, and ???

If you have 'em......bring 'em!  The more interest generated at this event......the larger the crowd will be for next year when we add vintage flat-track to the race venue.

In an effort to free up space in the garage I just loaded the race bike into my van.

Next up: check ride on The Worlds Ugliest Sandcast.  Hoping to use that as my pit bike.  Should I ride it with the incorrect non-duckbill seat or the goofy king/queen seat I had on it last year at VMD?

Where/when are we meeting up for a group photo?

Any particular place SOHC4'ers are camping? I'm going alone so it would be cool to camp with some people from here.

Camping permits are required.........I think small money.......I am camping at the VJMC booth. Meet and plan your day at the VJMC stand across from the swap meet.  I'll be there all of Friday and Saturday AM.  Look for my green K3.  Johnie will also be there. Ken from Cycle-X will be in the swap area and Mark will be seen with a beer-in-hand.

Photo ops........Some of us are planning to be on the Motorcycle Classics ride during the lunch hour on Saturday.  If anyone wants to go for an evening ride (after 6) let me know.  Several good roads nearby and local restaurants to visit. If you are returning to the track to camp........be sure you carry your ticket.  If you like good burgers you have to stop at Chester's Drive-in....Plymouth...It has a walk-up window and tables for bikers.

My small trailer is loaded.......now for the big unit!

I gave up on being cool a long time ago.

Me and the rest of the Chicago posse should be pitted on the grass just north of the gas station.

I'm out of stuff to do.  Everything is ready to go.  All I have to do now is wait.

goddammit

maybe if we all pray to the rain gods the weather will change? I'm not a fan of riding in the rain but I've been looking forward to this for too long.

A 50% chance of rain is a 50% chance it won't rain.  Think positive!
