The last of the 'parts' I needed for the short block assembly arrived today. Here is a quick inventory of everything that's in the build drawer.
890cc 67mm piston kit w/LA Sleeve Hi Nickel sleeves.
20-CFM head and .010" steel base gasket.
Cycle-X Super Rods.
DYNA 2000 ignition with wires and 3.0 OHM coils.
HD main and cylinder studs.
HD Cam chain.
Stainless brake lines and engine hex bolts.
New 8mm and 6mm flange nuts.
Honda NOS items...Primary chains and tensioner.
Cam tensioner/slide/wheel.
Two transmission gears
All transmission ball and needle bearings. (Except the two not available from Honda, those are both aftermarket brands.)
All gaskets. (Except the head and base gaskets mentioned above.)
all O-Rings and Oil seals.
Fork boots.
Work to be done...L/B crank. (I have the Cobra's lightened rotor.)
Trans undercut.
Cylinders bored, sleeves installed/bored.
I'm still working on new rockers and rocker shafts. And I'll get new main bearings when the crank gets back and I can measure it. I'll worry about that after Mike's done with the stage IV on the K6 head. I decided on the Megacycle 125-75 cam. This should be a fine build with the new Kerker megaphone pipes I got last summer, and the Mikuni 29mm smoothbores. I think it has a good chance of out snaking the Cobra.
