Adjusted the ignition, synced the carbs:

And did the first ride after 28 years! Just a short ride in the street as this bike still has its US title and not a Dutch title and is not insured.

Pardon my ignorance, but it "looks" like the axle clamps on the left side fork lower compared to the right side are backwards? I know on the 500/550 the gap is oriented to the rear, where your picture on 14 March shows the gap leading the front edge.

Perhaps it's just the picture, but worth a check that both sides are correctly oriented to each other.

750 should have the gap to the back too.

This is the original tool set that came with the bike. The only missing part is the points file. The feeler gauges are in the pouch and not on the picture:

The Dutch type-approval authority, RDW, approved this bike without any remark, for a Dutch title. The people there loved this bike, too! When a bike comes from outside the EU, the test is much more than just a paper work examination. All technical parts were tested. They test it according the rules from the date of first use, in this case 1970.
I am now waiting for the paper work in order to make a license plate. I will get a vintage title. In 1970, the bikes had a blue license plate.

The RDW looks quite official, no such place like that around here.

As a matter of fact, if motorcycles are 25+ years old in Texas, they can be registered as Antique and do not require an annual inspection.
