subscribed, watching closely, and interested.

In that case I've added you to the list.  What bike do you have 550, or 750?

sorry I've got a 750 (K7)

Also added, thanks singedebile. Which bike, so I can keep track of that as well?

And to Terry, the 1st stack is out of the mold, and the set ships to me by Monday.  Hope to turn them around, and have the test kit on its way to you by next weekend. :)  Looks like you could a stocking stuffer for Xmas. ;D  For those wondering about coloured stacks, the 1st 550 ones will be blue. ;)

TT, how paintable will the stacks be?  Or do you advise against this for material degridation reasons?  Also, how much would other colors be, or have you figured that out yet?

Thanks Brian, and I note that gnarlycharlie4U has a K7, will your stacks fit the K7's PD carbs? If so, that's great, I won't have to change the carbs on my F2 to suit the "Anti-Pod". Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Not sure wannabridin about paint, but I will look into it.  Would suspect though it wouldn't be very durable given the gas vapours, and normal paint probably won't 'stick' very well.  As for cost for the colour ones.  From my discussions, it looks like they will be about a $30 surcharge on a kit price.  Haven't looked at a price for them seperate, but will if there is a demand.  I am planning on keeping some extra sets of the black on hand though.

For those wondering about coloured stacks, the 1st 550 ones will be blue. ;)

The 1st set for the 550's will be a test set to make sure all the clearences work.  They will be fitted to my bike ( :)), and I wanted everyone to see what a colour set would look like.  So that's why the blue.  The 1st production run(s) will be black.  Any coloured ones ordered (750 or 550), will be made after that.  Right now I am planning on offering blue, red, and yellow, plus a 4th colour.  I'm leaning toward that being a mid/darker green (NOT Kawi lime), but a light gray is the other possiblity.  I'm open to suggestions on the 4th colour, but it has to be something more than one person is going to want, to keep mine, and your( :)) cost down.

It has been my understanding Terry that the throat OD of the PD's, and the earlier carbs is the same.  I've been working with an earlier 750 set.  So yes, they would fit either.

I have a set of Keihin CR's that I'd like to put the anti-pod on.
If I gave you all the necessary measurements could you fab the cover plate and stacks to fit?

gnarlycharlie4u - CR29's in a 750 application are on the list of possible future applications.  However I want to get the current stuff off the ground 1st, so that's something that will have to wait.  There are some other applications I'm going to be looking at later, and one of these might use stacks that would also work for the CR's.

Are you going to be making just the stacks avail?

Very likely Frankenstuff, but as I said above, my 1st priority is the kits.  I haven't even looked into what a 'stack only' price might be.  There would certainly be two prices, the black ones being priced less than the colour ones.

Just got a photo of the colour test block for the prototype blue 550 stacks.  As I mentioned this set will be going on my 550 cafe to confirm fit and sizing.  The standard kit will come with black stacks, with colour being an optional upgrade.

As well, after some discussions with ITG, the different filter height requirements of the 550 & 750 have been resolved.  The alloy frame frame and back plate (with different hole size / position) will be the same for both applications.  However, I will now be supplying two different filter heights.  The 550 will be using a 45mm filter, and the 750 either a 50 or 55mm high filter.  Terry will be receiving a couple of spacers so that he can let me know if there are any clearance issues going with 55mm.  If the 55mm height checks out OK, this will open the door for use on carbs with a throat dia. greater than the stock 750 carbs (up to 45mm throat ID).  That said, fitting to CR29's will require standard 550/750 carb spacing presently, as the limiting factor is the current filter frame width.  It would also require CR29 specific 750 stacks.  Which I haven't even started to look into. ;)

Note - the 55mm filter will not fit the 500/550 unless the stacks are very short, because of the clearance issue with the rear frame rails.  This would limit its use to racing applications only in my mind.

So bwaller ;) it still doesn't quite work for your racing application (straight manifolds with increased 2/3 carb spacing). There is a possible solution.  However, as I already have waaay to many things on my plate presently, this will take a back seat for the present time.

So to summarize.  The 500/550 filter height will be 45mm, for use with stock carbs.  The 1st thing I will be asking Terry to do is check clearance with a 55mm filter height, and stock 750 carbs.  If it is to tight, 50mm will be the 750 filter height.  Once I have that answer, I will be posting pricing, asking for deposits, and placing my order for the 1st lot of filters with ITG.  Terry will be, in the mean time, be doing jetting tests, with a 50mm filter height.  The additional 5mm will not affect the results with stock 750 carbs.  If the 55mm, fits it will allow me to develop a CR29 package for the 750 (stock spacing), without having to carry a 3rd filter.  This means the pricing for that application will be the same, or very close to the 500/550/750 filter kit pricing.  Bonus. :)
