So my bike started off as a mildly modified bike, and i stripped it down and started to rebuild, here is a video it was very dark during filming however it does sound nice.
So I machined my own headlight, and tried to make it resemble a old carbide style headlamp, it started life as a piece of aluminum 6"diameter round stock. I also machined and welded up my own tach housing and LED backlit it (even made my own tach needle), I also machined my own rear drum brace from aluminum stock and fuel petcock mount from brass stock. Also a new brass and aluminum fuel valve was ordered up and installed.
the rear frame hoop is made from solid stock and was cold bent by hand (with a big pipe) and the seat support was re-welded to the frame. The passenger peg frame section was removed and rear-sets were added. I rewired the whole bike with a modified hot rod harness. and used the proper bullet style shrink fit connectors. I also moved the ignition under the seat with a fabricated polished aluminum bracket. LED signals were installed along with a LED relay flasher. The stop/tail light is a stainless 32 ford hotrod tail light mounted to a side mount license plate mount I fabricated from aluminum. I replaced the regulator and rectifier with a single solid state one from a DOHC and used a Odessy PC310 dry cell battery and of course relocated all the electronics under the seat.
It took a lot of emails to decide to get a Benjie seat and tank, but I didn't have the tooling to make a aluminum tank and also didn't have the knowledge to build a carbon one. however I did away with the seat mount and made my own. also strapped down the rear of the seat with a leather strap and brass fasteners.
The copper oil lines were hand bent and took almost a whole roll of tubing to get the bends right, and of course they were polished along with all the brass fittings were polished as well. The oil tank was replaced with a CNC'ed machined unit that was then mounted to the frame by welding a piece of flat bar under the seat.
I removed the starter and associated wiring as the bike starts fist kick anyway, and starters are for wusses. Bars were replaced with Renthal low rise bars and new grips, the bar was machined to run the wiring through them and all the controls were refurbished and polished.
I fabricated new shock mounts and moved the top mount farther back and lower down to raise the back end and change the geometry. The brake lines were replaced with stainless braided jobs, and the brake switch was polished as well.
The whole motor was disassembled checked over and pained then rebuilt, as it was already bored out to 836cc with some other upgrades ie pistons, springs, cam. Then the motor was treated to a set of Keihin CR 29 carbs and an open exhaust. Also, a joker machine filler cap was added to the tank.
and here are some more pictures.
