So I was planning on having a productive night at home working on my bike, but who shows up at my door and wants to rip this town a new one?!?

Godzilla. That’s who.

The guy is out of control! First, we head downtown to check out the honky-tonks. We stopped by the Ryman Auditorium – birthplace of bluegrass.

Headed on down to the world-famous Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge. This is where Hank Sr. used to get drunk as a bicycle before performing at the Opry.

Country music heaven: Lower Broad. Dude behind him couldn't believe what he saw!

Continued on to Robert’s Western World, where he "shopped" for some boots and harassed the locals.

Kickin’ it with Big E.

Evidently he tried to abscond with this police bike but got caught red-handed. The Fuzz was none-too-thrilled, but he got let off with a warning.

Then on to the Springwater Supper Club near Centennial Park (hint: you wouldn’t want to eat there, even if they actually served food) for more beers and some sweet, sweet Caribbean karaoke. One of the biggest surprises of the night: Godzilla does a MEAN version of Marley’s “Soul Rebel”!!!

Then finally back to the East side for a closing brew and a smoke. Not sure if he needed it – he was WASTED!

Found him out back at the end of the night amidst some rubbish.

Don’t worry though – he’s safe & sound thanks to yours truly.

OldSchool. I love the map. It really puts it in perspective for those that need pictures.

That is a nice chunk of the US covered in about a month! Since we had some questionable weather in NC and our handoff was moved up to a Friday, I would like to go on record as saying that my entire participation in that saddle was a whopping 2.3 miles. I may be up for nomination as Sissy Butt.

And you know what, I don't care how small of a contribution it was. I am really enjoying watching the progress. I cannot wait for next year....or the never-ending extension next year. Let's keep encouraging more people to get on the pegs and put in some miles.

LOL! Sissy Butt! That's a good one!! No need to apologize, had the weather not gotten in the way, I'm sure you would have put in many, many miles!!

Since we've already nominated C'ville for Iron Butt, I'd like to nominate the ENTIRE Team South for the "Iron Nuts" award! Dealing with torrential rain and tornadic winds and STILL hitting your marks! WELL DONE ALL!!

Many miles behind us so far but watch the serious progress over the next 3 weeks! Just got CB650's (Terry) loaner 650 mostly ready to go so we can pick up Godzilla and have him in Colorado in 2 weeks and eastern Kansas in 3 weeks. We got riding to do boys!

Got the word that Team AR has made it to Dennison, TX so I updated the map. But the question remains.... WILL GODZILLA SLEEP IN DALLAS TONIGHT?? The suspense is killing me!!

You guys might wanna set a fire under some Cali asses........... Nobody has pledged to go with me from Modesto,Ca. to Fernley, Nv. to hand off to Greg (Ofreen). Nobody has even pledged to bring it to me from the SF bay area..............WTF?

....... I can't and won't do it alone............time is becoming a factor here. I just started a new job last Wednesday and already let the boss man know that I'm doing this trip. If I don't get any participation from anyone.....I guess I'm out.........lemmme know what you all wanna do here.
