Let me help get this thread back on track...  I like the bike.  I really like the tires, they may not handle well, but I can't ride well either...

It will be me that wrecks the bike before I can blame my tires.  Yes, I have wrecked with nice tires and bad tires.

I'm working on a cb450k5 (basket case) cafe racer and then moving on to a cb500t or cb450 brat-style bike.  I am going to use this bike as inspiration once I finish my current project--will have the firestones or maybe cokers.  The 750 is too much bike for me (too heavy and too much motor).

Great looking bike.  I built a cafe out of my then less desirable K7.  If your bike had been a pristine example, I would have voted for preservation.  But whatever, it's yours to do with, not mine.  I think your build came out great.  I love the seat.

I came up on a 78 K for $250 that I was planning on having a good time turning into a mild cafe but the dang thing is so original that I have a hard time justifying modifying it.  I was pleased when I saw the original tool kit under the seat.  Then I saw the owners manual in the flap under the seat also I was blown away.  Still has the factory spare fuses.  So until my budget picks up I will just be spending time cleaning and polishing and tuning.
Great looking build though.  Would love to hear those pipes

12 grand might get you a really busted up Vincent motor
Take a good core bike, restore it, subtract that from 12 grand, Is that a exorbitant sum?

A lot more folks can afford 750s than Vincents.. and there are barn fresh ones showing up weekly..

Iconic and desireable, does not always mean rare.

If they were as tough to find as say a Vincent, you would see far less of them being  butchered these days.
The Vincent stock has a look that appeals to a lot more people than the stock 750 look..IMO

It is too bad that HONDA did not mass produce that big V twin they made a prototype of. I was a 954 I believe, and looked a lot like the Vincent engine.

So do I haha and pot holes for that matter lol.

Can't we all just get along hahaha? Anyways like I said before I built this bike to have a certain look and I was willing to sacrifice pretty much anything and everything to achive that look. The bike doesnt handle great but its not as bad as some of you might think. Ya I have to avoid pot holes and watch out for bumps because it feels like the rear tire goes right up my ass sometime. Its basiclly built to look bad ass and ride straight on a warm day on a smooth road maybe once a week lol haha.... for any other spirited riding I have five other rare purpose made bikes ;-)

Peace and love to all mankind....... I LOVE BIKES!!!!!!!

Mmmmm high pipes  ;D

But for really I think I'll keep the straight flat pipes.....I really went for that flat straight line on this bike so I think the pipes on it really go with the look.

Does this look interesting?

What about a lovely "under seat" pipe conversion? This was done by another member here who thought he'd built something unique out of what had been quite a nice original CB750. Oh well.............  ::)

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

I had been contemplating getting a bike for a while. On the fence whether or not I should buy one or not. And then I saw your build on BikeExif. That was truly my inspiration to bite the bullet and do it! Your bike is the tits, no matter what the trolls say on here. Thanks

Love the look of the bike and glad to hear you are enjoying it.  It's not what I would ride (in terms of the tires), but it looks pretty cool.

Terry, that undertail exhaust bike is cracking me up!!

I just spent a while clearing out the off-topic posts in this thread.  Interpersonal issues and bickering need to be dealt with through PMs, not out in the open for everybody else to have to sift through.
