Ouch!  :o
That strap they wrap around the nitro motors to keep the heads from blasting off are certified to 70,000 psi. But earlier this year (IHRA Baton Rouge) my pal Drums blew his apart and flattened the top frame tube on the underside. Damaged from the heads bouncing off.
But I could still swing both pistons nice on the rods.
That ballistic chest protector worn under the suit paid for itself. I told him he needed another one around the crotch.

Wow....ballistic blankets with big, big, big  Kevlar etc next?
I talked to Rick Stetson about Valentine's 245mph run. He said they like going quick but they don't going fast on Top Fuel bikes.  Valentine went 238 mph at the 1/8 marker......shut it down not long after that.
Rick asked Dave if he pulled the chute....A relatively new addition to Top Fuel bikes. He said...."you bet your a$$ I did".
  Great stuff guys. ;D

Bill, that sounds excellent. Sounds like it's much more than a 915  ;) Congratulations brother.

Ask Mike about those lucky place mats. He has more time for head work now.

BILL MWS : Can't wait to see you run 10 anything on that HONDAMATIC that's a site I want to see on the 1320'. I love riding my old power glides on the street [ 400-450-750cc ]  1976 -1983  my girl friend likes to get off the back and give the folks a little info talk about these old , well built bikes of the pass. The 450A with 4,000 miles is her favorite ride in the country on twisty roads at 65mph w/two up. I can see that look on the sheriffs face when he says your 20-25 miles over the speed limit, your 73 and she 70, and you both are  CARRY AND CONCEAL ....... you should know BETTER !

Bill,

Good deal on getting the aluminum arm done for Calender girl. Once the template is done, I'm sure others on the forum will consider getting a custom DME arm as well. Your bike is turning the corner to a really competitive machine. Can't wait to see the first pass.
