Haha! Nope! Still rollin' the same chain we got in Nevada and those tired old sprockets!

Nice setup! I'm curious what YOU took with you. I'm interested in your pack. What you decided to bring and what you left behind. What you brought that you didn't use and vise versa. I'm looking at my first long trip and am picking brains.

This is a pretty complete list. I used the stock tool kit w/ minor additions. I definitely need a short phillips head though to remove carb float bowls w/o taking the whole set off. I'll explain that issue later.

Yeah, I mounted a cigarette lighter on top of the headlight bucket and used a converter to charge my phone and mp3 player.

Since this isn't a skateboard forum I'll skip over the next few parks I stopped at but here's a shot on the Hood River that borders OR and WA. I HIGHLY recommend riding the WA side as it's practically zero traffic, much less wind and far more picturesque than the 6 lane highway on the OR side. I was able to hold it at 110+ mph for several minutes at a time on  some stretches.
So much to do, so little time.

Waitsburg, Wa watering hole. Definitely stop here if you're on the 12. 32 oz. mason jars of there own brews to go. The least pretentious brew pub in the country. I especially enjoyed the porter.

More camping -

The bus driver -

This thing seemed like great idea until I started to get about a third of the way up and it started rocking back and forth. VERY disconcerting. Lesson learned - be sure all full-pipes are SOLID before skating!

Ive put about that many miles on my bike in the past month, but with no net gain... remained on the east coast the whole time. Its nice here though!

Hey: Thanks for the list and keep the pictures coming. Sounds like you had a carb adventure too.

I'd been looking forward to this stretch for a while -

This is rt. 12 through the Bitterroot national forest in Idaho. Everything i've read about says that it's a must ride road, one of the best in the country. I was actually a bit disappointed. It's a beautiful ride and a pretty nice road but not nearly as twisty as I was expecting. Wide open sweeping curves and a whole bunch Harleys waddling along.

That is a fair assessment.  Next time try Hwy 75 between Challis and Stanley.  Probably has more of what you are looking for.

I wish I could be on this trip with you! I've been trying to get my skate friends to do something like this, but none of them want to ride that far. When do you think you'll be heading back? Do you plan on going anywhere near AR on your way?

Pulled over for some pics after the only rain of the trip. I'd only had the rain gear on for about 20 minutes when it blew over. -

I'd never cheat on my girlfriend but when two cuties on a Harley roll up and ask if you need help w/ anything a guy can't help but think of a few things. I had camera in hand and didn't even think to snap a picture until they were rolling away.

Outside of Alpine, WY. We met up w/ a friend who lives there and has a raft and 2 trucks. We went for a refreshing run down the Snake River between Jackson and Alpine. Made for a great break in the ride, home cooked meals, showers, laundry, comfy couch, etc. -

And just happened to have a new park in town just a couple blocks from his house. -
