I did pretty well on that score I was well into my forties before I started loosing it. Now it's all gone    .
I've managed to get a bit done on the bike before we fly off for a bit more sun (we've had plenty in the UK recently) and I've realised I needed a few extra fasteners and a couple of tools to help me complete the job , so I've ordered those . Really looking forward to this break and really looking forward to getting this bike finished when we get back . Regards Greg "H"

And now it's back to the drudgery of work  , but also back to getting stuck into this

Just a short update . My build is still slowly moving forward ,I've finally sorted out a suitably seventies colour scheme and the tank/sidepanels/fenders are away at the painters ,and should be back in a couple of weeks, so in the meantime I've been occupying myself constructivley, getting some of the small jobs finished off , such as getting a few bits plated/painted and sourcing various fasteners  etc , in readyness for completing the rolling chassis by the end of Sept.
I'm quit comfortable with the progress up till now , because after all it's only a hobby, and I've been getting my speed fix spectating up at York Raceway a couple of times and attending shows/autojumbles and just generally researching for my motor build for this winter. I'll post some pics of the completed rolling chassis when all the bits are on it . All the best Greg "H"

How frustrated am I ? . I've got my parts back from the painters and they are awsome . But I'm having trouble sourcing a suitable braided hose for the front brake . Also the local platers ,who had a great reputation, and who were willing to do small batches for the local bike building community , have gone out of business , so I'm on the lookout for someone reasonably local who will be willing to plate my very small batch of parts . And last but not least , since I had my lap top cleaned I've lost the image re sizer that I've been using for a while without any problems,  and now I can't seem to re instale a replacement , so no pics for the time being  .  When we're working on the new trucks at work ( all of which are now turning up fitted with all manner of sophisticated electronics) when we have a problem we very often say that all we need to do is to employ a twelve year old to sort them out  . So I think that I'll have to get my daughter on the case of the lap top .

That seemed to work o.k , so here are a couple more .

Well the pics seem to have come out o.k  , although the colours look off in them  . We chose the cream base with red,orange and yellow stripes on the tank to go with the red frame,which looks a lot better in the metal, so to speak . Pro Stock regs stipulated that the manufacturers name had to be on the tank , so I'm currently sourcing a pair of suitable decals in silver for that , as well as some other period looking stuff for the tank.A couple more bits and the rolling chassis will be finished .
I'm off work this week,and I've got a couple of days of " me time" so I should be able to get some more stuff done on the bike . It's my wifes 60th this week so we're taking off down to London for a couple of days later in the week, we're booked into a nice hotel, and we've got a couple of  tickets to go and see War Horse ,  and hopefully we'll also be able to do a bit of sightseeing while we're down there. I'm just hoping that the long period of warm settled weather that we've been experiencing over here continues , for a few more days at least .

What's reasonably local? UK? Browns Plating, top quality advertises no minimum. Paducah KY. Fast turnaroundm as close as UPS or equivalent.

I plumbed my brake with Goodridge hoses. Come in SS Braid w and w/o clearcoat, in 1" increments. Female nut at both ends. Buy appropriate fittings to terminate into caliper or mc.

Thanks for the comments guys  . I know that to most people "rolling  chassis" are boring , but I've been determined to stick to a game plan with this project , rather than the  "scatter gun " approach that I usually adopt  . Like most on here I planned it, I'm  funding it and I'm doing it , so I needed to break it down into suitably sized chunks to make the whole experience managable and affordable . I've sourced a suitable front brake hose now , my pictures seem to be comming up on here o.k and I've sorted out the decals for the tank , so whats not to like ? . Pretty soon I'll be able to get stuck into the "interesting " bit ,BUILDING THE MOTOR 
P.S I'll post a pic of the stickered up tank when I get it done , I think that you "oldies"are going to like it .

I finally got the tank decals sorted  , after I completely cocked up a couple of letters by rushing to get them fitted on the afternoon that we were due to go away for a couple of days .As a consequence, I had to wait till we'd got back from London before I got the chance to do the job right . I'm not over the moon with the final look , but for the time being it's going to have to do
