Hi
I'm a dude from Sweden who had just bought me a motorcycle. I'm 24 years old and almost finished master in mechanical engineering with specialization in power plant, gasturbines etc.
The motorcycle is a CB750 K2 first time registerd 1974 but made in 1973 (between 72-75 thy only K2 shipped to Sweden). I bought it for ome weeks ago for about $ 3800 and are very pleased with the deal. In Sweden and all europe they are quite expensive for that old bike, average price for a nice CB750 is about 6000 dollars and above.
Things I've done so far:
- Changed all spark plugs
- Changed the front sprocket, rear sprocket and switched to an O-ring chain
- Oil for front fork
Things I want to change / do:
- Switching to dual front brake discs. I've already got myself extra disc, calipers, caliper arm for $ 76!
- Change to steel braided brake hoses.
- Switching to a lower handlebar, like high rise clip-ons. Do not really like the very low riding position with standard clip-ons.
- Change to the original / cooler fork ears / headlight mount
- Any change to the smaller lights. It depends on how it looks in the interaction with the other.
- Renovate and fix the seat. Current foam has dried and disintegrated.
- Sometime during the years, valve cover, front sprocket cover and generator cover been chromed. And im going to "dechrome" it and fix the aluminum finish.
That's all I know I want to do now, more will surely come
So all posts, comments, feedback, criticism, love and hate are welcome.
I appreciate the tips on where I can buy, how I can proceed with my wishes.
Since I have a lot in school and the Swedish motorcycle season ends in a few weeks for winter break will be a slow-moving projects, slowly but surely
Here are some pictures of the beast
