The Fat Lady has sung.
« on: April 21, 2009, 08:20:23 AM »
Sophie was sold last night, so I am now no longer the proud owner of a sohc Honda. I'd like to really thank you chaps and chapesses for all of your help and camaraderie over the last three years. It's been a slice.

Now it's onwards and upwards to the delights of getting my Norton, aka The Mistress, ship shape and Bristol fashion for the INOA Rally which is being held just up the road from me, next year. And also the fun and games of classic bike enduro stuff on the XT500 Yamaha.

I'll pop by periodically to see what's going on.

Didn't you know, once you name your bike you are no longer allowed to sell it?

Happy trails on your norton. :)

Working on that basis you'd never be able to get divorced. ;) ;) ;)

Last time I checked we had an "other bikes" forum, humour forum, open forum etc etc....

Hell I haven't owned a SOHC in over a year! Ofcourse I have no real friends...  :P ;)

That was a silly thing to do Nick, the mistress will never love you like Sophie did. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

One day when you stop vibrating, perhaps you'll go in search of another Sophie.  :D :D :D :D :D

Look in often Nick and safe riding.

I'll have you know that The Mistress has no engine oil leaks....however she has had a tendency to widdle swing arm lubricating oil.

After that "oil tight" Norton starts peeing oil all over your garage....go out and get yourself a proper SOHC (750......K6 or older) and come back and apologize for not doing it right in the first place!!!! ;D ;D......just kidding Nick!!!!.....drop in any time!!!(I'm sure you will!!).

And I thought this was going to be another Susan Boyle thread.

You'll be back.  You know the only cure for your ills is a SOHC4.

I dropped Sophie off at the young fellers house last night. I took him for a ride on the back, just spinning the motor up to 5,500rpm (as you recall, I'm a GHOF when it comes to thrashing the motor).......I think he was quite impressed.

I think I'm in withdrawal already. :-[

Guilty as charged, Frank. My excuse is that I don't teach in Kelowna any more. ;) What's your address?
