Nothing wrong with "made in china"
They are capable of making nuclear powered submarines.
Where things go wrong is, some one or company want's a $100 item made, but they only want to pay $5 for it. But still charge $100.
Quality goes out the window.
Japan was doing the same thing years ago, then decided to chase quality over quantity.
What pisses me off, I haven't got any of Terrys made in Stralia ginger beer, I am left with some German made Pilsener.

Yeah, the Russians and the Japanese are capable of making nuclear power plants, and we all know how well that went, the Chinese had a laboratory in some joint called Wuhan, but some d1ckhead didn't wash his hands before he went to the wet market to have some BBQ Pangolin for lunch, and I'm pretty sure everyone in the free world (possibly not Communist China) knows how that went.......... I don't like to give them too much credit, usually it's a $5 part that causes a meltdown......... And that pisses me off. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Nope, me either Dave, and I just remembered Three Mile Island in the US before Chernobyl, the near disaster there was called, "The China Syndrome", so I'm not gonna buy a "Made in the USA" reactor either..... ;D

Sometimes, push-pull throttle cable setups just piss me off.
I honestly don't get it.  The push cable isn't really helping much anyway.  In the event of a pull cable failure, the push cable provides no help.
The thing annoyed the piss out of me tonight.  Theottle worked just fine with its single pull cable.  Added that secondary dummy cable and it actually kept the throttle from closing!
Especially pissed because the throttle worked before being taken apart.
What about this limp dick push cable was actually jamming the throttle wide open?
Physical damage, no
Improper fitment, no
Carb return spring issue?  Negative.
Lubricant?  Added.
Finally decided to take the throttle grip control off the bike, low and behold, the push return cable started spinning itself in its housing.  Somehow the thing got so twisted up it wasn't moving inside its own sleeve.
Reattached and good to go now.

Still an ineffective part in the overall design.

Sticking throttles piss me off.

If the throttle hangs open the "push becomes pull closed"

But what pisses me off is the rain and cold. I'd like a week of no furnace running if someone can arrange that with the weather man. Oh boy, now I did it. it'll be 120F next week now that I've complained.

Throttle cables are pull/pull not push/pull. Cables don't push anything.

Ok, I'm heading into the garage in search of the missing kill switch, I had it in my hand when the garage got tidied, but unfortunately it visited Scott S and his black hole. I may be gone some time so, please send beer and well more beer.
(gap left for pissed or not pissed off edit)
It was the best of times, and the worsterer of times.
failed to find that damn switch, but had a few beers looking. But as you all know, something shiny or you forget what it is comes to hand and you end up doing something completely different.
I'm pissed of I found my secateurs, and ended up doing some pruning.

I'm pissed off that either, 1. Brian is ignoring my text message I sent him about a bargain lathe deal, or 2. Brian has changed his phone number so he doesn't have to read my texts. It's a pity, same lathe as mine for under $2K, bargain! ;D

Sorry mate didn't mean to ignore you, just missed your txt. Have read it now.

At the moment I have a lead on a new (damaged) Harrison M250.
My brother in law has a mate who owns a taxi truck company based in Tamworth.
One of his blokes was delivering the lathe but it broke it's packing straps and toppled off the pallet onto the truck tray, damaging the base / gear cabinets.
Needless to say the punter refused to accept delivery, so it's sitting at the depot while the insurance is being sorted out.
They are pretty confident that they can buy it from the insurance  company for a pretty good price.

Scott, my apologies for not replying to Uncle Tez on the pissed off lathe thread , but I will report the outcome in the appropriate spot. ;D

No worries Brian, good luck with it, new is always better than used, even damaged new, as long as it's an easy fix and you're not waiting forever for parts before you can use it. ;D

Wait, there's a pissed off latte thread Scunny? To complain about coffee? Well as luck would have it, I've got one! I bought my missus takeaway McDonalds "hotcakes" for her Mothers Day breakfast treat this morning, and I bought some for myself along with a coffee. I can honestly say that if someone had pissed in my latte, it wouldn't have tasted any worse. As used as I am now to taking lots of foul tasting medication daily, I still drank it all, but I am pissed off that McDonalds can't get their sh1t together to make a decent latte. Ok, I'm off to find the "Pissed off latte thread".......... ;D

Tinnitus is kinda pissing me off

Tell me about it, I've had ringing in my years ever since 1977 and my first rifle range practise, firing the SLR (Self Loading Rifle, 7.62mm elephant gun) with no hearing protection. Back in those days we didn't get issued hearing protection, or what we did wasn't particularly effective. The VA recently paid $7K to have Bloom Hearing provide me some hearing aids that generate a tinnitus cancelling white noise. Not particularly effective, but interestingly, when I conked myself with a clutch plate fired into my face by my bench grinder, my tinnitus all but disappeared for several months. It's back now, but I can't say I missed the constant ringing in my ears. ;D

I too get the crackly hearing, probably a combination of loud bikes , helmet noise and some proper loud punk rock
Sometimes it just kicks in for no reason, but I can activate it by turning up my car stereo ( which has at least 3 out of 6 fecked speakers ) to full volume ( why is 36 the number it goes up to indicating full volume ) and then my left ear starts to make loud explosive noises, fun but a bit scary....is this the future ?

No, I think that's brain damage Spotty, I just have constant ringing in my ears, at various volumes. It does seem to get louder in the evenings, but that might just be because things are quieter, and it's more noticeable. Sometimes I don't notice it, and other times it drives me insane. That reminds me, I must make an appointment with my GP, I need another prescription of Diazepam, and some Tramadol, ooher, and maybe some Oxycodone too. Sweet............ ;D
