Had a pair of those I had to wear in Basic Training, and I hope to God I never have to wear them again.

I totally forgoe the tent deal. I bring a tarp and alot of wood. If it rains I sleep under the tart instead of on top. These things dont bother me so much since I dont have a lady friend to worry about.

She was my canoe partner though. Good enough for me. That year there was MANY MANY misquitoes. I live in new hampshire and we were on the maine border and it rained allllllll summer. Had to have bug spray and a tiki on me at all times. It was like a blood kegger for the squites.

I thought salt air killed flies and mosquitoes? When I lived in San Francisco, we didn't have flying pests like that, so I figured it would be the same for the coastal areas of the East.
