I wanted to get my mind off things so worked some more on kasper. My friend is on hold waiting on the insurance company. Very positive attitude. Hoping for the best.
I usually get up around 0300 hrs. and turn on the window fans. We are under a high heat Waring until Sunday.
This was at 1400 hrs. today.

First I installed the carburetor. Not easy as everything is up inside the frame. I have to remove it tomorrow which involves removing the battery, air cleaner, breather hoses and air tube. Something not right.

Next I worked in the clutch area. The plates were stuck but surprisingly had plenty of oil on them.

Removed then installed.

If you look closely at the front oil filter assembly you will see a small hole at the 12 o'clock position. When you remove the clutch cover there is a small pin that goes in this hole. As you can see it's easy to miss but you have to have it.

Adjusted clutch and cleaned up the clutch cover. Also polished the front oil filter cover.
Before..

And after with new OEM screws..

Also greased everything. The boys down at Harris Motors had the old style grease gun.

Quite a bit of work in the last 3 days. I put in some new plugs and she fired right off! Sounds great!

Like I said earlier I have some issues with carburetor cabling as I can not get it to idle. Revs real high so I'm sure it is something I messed up in the slide area.
Did I say it runs! Great feeling when you consider the time and money.
I'm pretty jazzed right now.
