my engine is upside-down and apart on my bench, but i should have the bike back together by satuday. i was planning on riding the norton, but that's not looking too hopeful.

Well I really wanted to go on the ride today but I just couldn't make it happen.  Oh, and the 80% chance of rain helped with that decision.  Hope those who went had a GREAT time!

I'm working in the ER today, and if I see any of you here I will kick you in the ass in addition to the other woes and maladies you come in with.

I missed the ride too; spent all morning re-assembling the carbs that I tore apart in a fit of angst last night

At least the #$%* idles now.

Definitely washed all of last years dirt outta my leathers. Kinda nice I won a tub of leather cream and a t-shirt with my pair of tens... heh I thought I'd been thru some rain before but that was awesome! It was so hard at one point I thought it was hail. Funny how it doesn't rain at the check points tho... ???  165 miles of bone chillin cold and torrential downpour and g/f says she wants me to teach her how to ride...

Heh...yeah, not bad for only her third time on a bike. She said she had fun and would do it again, and I do appreciate a girl who'll go all the way, then wants to do it again....   8)
Next time I won't leave my rainsuit hanging in the closet... ::)

brand new rider here in Woodstock area, just took the Team Oregon class no more than a month ago. previously no riding experience. getting to know my 74 cb550 one step at a time. still scared s***less by it, a healthy respect if you will.

you can do it!

I wish I could've started riding my bike after I took the TO class... but my bike wasn't really road-worthy until a year after.  If I managed a 650 right after Team Oregon with no bike in between, you'll be ok with yours. :)  Just take your time and let your clutch lever be your teddy bear and baby blanket. :D  Worked for me!

Welcome to the SOHC addiction support group.  Portland has some really great folks here on the forum who are amazingly helpful and just plain fun to hang with... and occasionally we get together and ride.

I'll start a new thread when I get a chance, but DOOMTOWN is having our spring ride/party saturday, April 17th. the ride will meet at our parking lot (525 NE 19th) at 10, and leave at 11. the party will start around 7, and will have more food/beer and another slow race. mark your calendar!

oh yeah, it's also my birthday party.

OMRRA Vintage meet and greet is at the shop, at probably around 5:00pm, that same day, so it's going to be a pretty big day!
