If you decide to make a oil can swingarm please let me know - maybe with intake for a oil cooler in the left side

Just a question, but would having a swing arm oil tank actually work?

My concern would be that by locating the oil tank in the swing arm as the initial drawings showed, the oil tank outlet to the engine would be below the engine inlet to the pump.

I don’t believe these pumps were designed to have a negative head pressure, and thus the pump would be starved of oil or it wouldn’t be able to meet the pressure required to engine.
My other concern would be when the engine is shut off, all the oil in the engine would drain back into the tank, including what is in the oil supply line to the pump. These pumps need to be primed with oil in order to start flow. They do not have a “suction” strong enough to pull the air out of the supply line and then lift oil.

Good questions. I know a few guys have done it without issue as far as I know. Maybe I'll build one to test anyways.

I read through the build on the SOHC forum. He had an oil cooler that was positioned at roughly the same height as the stock tank. This would act as a standpipe provide head pressure to the pump.

I don’t really know much about Fuller’s bike. I know they run, so there must be some merit the idea of it work.

I’m still holding out hoping you build the rear seat hump oil tank you posted over the DTT site.

It will hold over 3.25 qts of oil below the fill cap.

I was back and forth with the tank and had been working with Cliff Meyer of Meyerbuilt MetalWorks on some other stuff so I convinced him to make me an aluminum tank. The core shape was based on the CB500t tank with a little extra touches. The shape of the 500t tank really flows with the seat but I didn't want to use the cb500t tank again.

I'm going to Indiana this weekend to pick of the frame and tank. Very excited. I'm going to try and finish this bike in 3 weeks.

would be great to have guys like you over in europe for parts...
To bad we have to pay ridiculous amounts of taxes when we buy stuff in the US..

one question though, that loop, did you make it yourself or where did you get it? Looking for the same one for my 750F2.
