Thanks!  I would love to speed this one along.  I've been distracted by buttoning up details on my other 750 (Nine Lives) bike and my 550 (Stockish Restomod), so I can then focus on this build.  Then I have one lined up behind waiting.  I'm spread too thin.

I haven't decided.  I'm going a bit wider than stock.  One of the things I need to source is the wheels.  I'm planning to run modern Morris wheels.  I'm trying to see if RSD will turn out a pair with the hub specs for the 750.

I discovered that the Motogadget Chronoclassic gauge - for all of its splendor - does not include any control or mode button in the gauge itself. Rather, you need to wire on to the gauge. Jeez!  So I got to buy yet another piece of Motogadget gear - a push button kit.

At least that part didn't cost an arm and leg! It did, however cost me about 3 hours in the shop, cutting, extending, welding and re-milling my bracket to make room for the darn thing!

I've still got a fair bit of clean up to do on it, then I'll powder coat it I think. Had wanted to anodize, but not having much success with a recent vendors work. Found a different one, but they don't do consumer trade, only industrial work. I pulled some favors to get them to do the forks for my '500 build.

I agree that anodizing would be a great choice, if your vendors can get their act together -- it would match up (better than PC) to the finishes on the gauge and button.  Damn vendors!

Just picked up an aluminum front fender from 7 Metal West (http://7metalwest.com/motorcycle_parts.html) for $55 shipped.  Quality is great, and it will allow me to go all aluminum for all of the body work.  The fenders are made to order and take about 4 weeks from order to receipt.  I'll just need some mounts fabricated.

Frankly, I'm surprised at the price. Air-Tech charges almost twice that for fiberglass.

Just got it and it looks as good or better than the pictures on their website.  Production time was 4 weeks.  I dropped it off to my fabricator for him to sort out mounts to the modern fork lowers.

I'm curious as to who has adpated a non-modern fender to a modern fork.

No, I like the round bar mounts.  I was just trying to think of what else might be "out there" as options.

I like (and am planning) the round bar to threaded bung, like on the DCC dairyland bike. That was my plan for a fender. I've also seen flat stock used.
